Let me tell you what I’ve thought about this Mother’s Day. • I’ve thought about how much I love my living daughter and how much I miss and still grieve my daughter in heaven. I’ve thought of the couples I worked with whose mom passed away the last few months, the couples who’ve shared their pregnancy loss with me, the couples who were thrilled to have their kids in their wedding and in the videos and photos to look back on.

Nothing seemed quite right to post to cover all the feelings of today, so I want to share this benediction from Tylnn & Ben’s wedding. I filmed their wedding a week after loosing my baby girl, and this somehow was exactly what I needed to hear.

Who says a small wedding doesn’t have to feel grand? I am forever awed by the STUNNING floral designs created for this styled shoot to transform into a dreamy wedding backdrop. Such artistry!

“Maaaan, your dad almost got me.” I caught Greg on mic as he and Haleigh walked back up the aisle. You can totally tell in this clip. Which, I will forever be obsessed with this part of their wedding video. • The look Greg has when he sees Haleigh, the look he has when he locks eye with her dad, the way Haleigh looks at her dad as he wipes away a tear… it’s just everything.

TW: pregnancy loss.

Over the weekend we became parents of two, but not in the way we ever imagined. We lost our second daughter after serious pregnancy complications. I had a rare and severe case of amniotic band syndrome. • I’m now part of a tribe I never thought I’d be a part of. I am forever grateful to all the mamas who’ve walked a similar journey and have messaged me to check in. I also can’t express how grateful I am to our medical team who walked with us through this difficult journey. • Thank you for your patience as we grieve our beloved baby and navigate toward a new “normal.”

Being back at Gulf Shores for vacation has me thinking back to Sarah & Ben's wedding this past spring. So many beautiful, heartwarming moments... and equal amounts of fun!

Melanie & Justin celebrated their first anniversary with STYLE! • Last year, they had an intimate, backyard wedding ceremony and had to postpone the big celebration to this year. I love that couples who had to work around Covid are still having their big wedding days! Y’all deserve it! Coronavirus pandemic. Historical snowstorm in Memphis. What a year for Laurae & Nicholas to get married!

But their wedding at home turned out perfect. I couldn't help but giggle at Nicholas's dad cleaning the stove before the wedding. Family gathering in the living room laughing together. Her sister digging through Lauare's jewelry for the perfect finishing touch to her bridal look.

Nothing like a cozy wedding at home, especially after Memphis’s biggest snowstorm in 50 years.

It was all so perfect. Family in the kitchen helping get things ready. Laurae and her sister sorting through her jewelry containers for what to wear. The living room transformed into a beautiful ceremony backdrop.
