About Moving Shadows
Moving Shadows is new darkwave music presented by DJ KellyA (facebook.com/deejaykellya) in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a monthly podcast as well as occasional live music events held in nightclubs. The music of Moving Shadows includes darkwave and related genres (post-punk, industrial, synthwave, gothic rock) and the focus is on songs released within the past four months.
The Moving Shadows Podcast is a monthly online radio show that had its first edition in June 2018, when DJ KellyA (Kelly Litzenberger) released a two-hour New Music Podcast on her Mixcloud page at www.mixcloud.com/djkellya. DJ KellyA's New Music Podcast became a regular monthly show in Dec. 2018, changing its name to the New Darkwave Podcast in May 2018.
DJ KellyA also runs a Pittsburgh dark concert promotion company, Night Sky Productions. (facebook.com/nightskyprodpgh). On Sept. 1, 2019, she presented an event called Moving Shadows that was essentially a live version of her monthly podcast. It featured DJ KellyA and DJ TFS with live performances by SYZYGYX, Tragic Impulse, and The Purge. The event was named by DJKellyA's 7-year-old son, who thought "moving shadows" was a good name for something spooky.
The podcast officially became known as The Moving Shadows Podcast with its Sept./Oct. 2019 edition.
