The long awaited Feast on the Farm, with our friends at Cornish Orchards.

Spanning over two late summer evenings.
The event started with a tour of the Orchard, followed by a talk and tasting session, and finishing with a feast from us.

Another Wilderness complete

This year was a pretty special one for and the Woodfired team.

Getting to lay our table away from the crowds. It was such a unique experience to be able to pick up 150 people from the middle of the festival and walk them through the woodland (all while following a brass band)

Without power or water, it meant the entire meal had to be cooked on fire - what we do best.

Thank you to for looking after us.
Our trusty , and kit - which has come on the road with us for years.

And a special mention to for letting us raid your snack rack most days.

Dinner in a lavender field.

We were so touched when reached out to us when we announced our long tables were going on tour.

We got to lay a table during harvest. We cooked pork reared on her land and enjoyed their tearoom favourite of Lavender shortbread.

Please take the time to check them out and take your friends.

Lots of what she does is made possible with her gang of volunteers and you can tell that place is full of love!

We did a thing.

Laying a long table on Sunday with was a career highlight for most of the Woodfired team.

first met the Outstanding team 7 years ago when he worked with them in the USA.

This time, it was on home soil with his family and team around him.

People ate, drank and liberally applied suncream!

On July 10th we are laying a table in farmer Matt Chatfield’s field - with his famous Cull Yew meat from retired dairy sheep which appears on the menu of Londons best restaurants. Matt gives otherwise wasted sheep an enjoyable retirement on his family’s land, while they work to sequester carbon and improve soil through managed grazing.

We will cook alongside while learning about the importance of regenerative agriculture. Enjoy feasting alongside biodynamic beers, ciders made in Cornwall.

feels so privileged to be asked to be the guest chef on this leg of the European tour. Welcoming such world renowned hospitality to home soil is really what it’s all about.

This is going to be a special one.

Happy New Year!

We have started 2022 with an exciting new plan.

We are looking to build a fresh team for a brand new project, on the beach, here in Cornwall.

SO WE ARE RECRUITING!

We need a team front of house and back of house in our kitchen.

Including:
1. A pure-positive, get it done, bubbly personality floor manager
2. A calm and kind, high cover experience, head chef.

We also need teammates to work with these two.
Line cooks, waiting team, bar team, hosts, KPs and bus boys/girls.

Please send me (Ben) your cv and covering note letting me know why you want to work on a beach in Cornwall and be a part of our family.

We are offering year-round professional salaries and competitive hourly wages within our Canteen culture- Good People, Good Food.

If you love making people feel welcome, believe in simple tasty food and drinks and, above all, you are kind, then get in touch.
