SWEET LOVE [MYLES SMITH]

“As the duo sat beneath the neon lights of Hog’s Breath Café – sharing curly fries and conversation; it all kinda clicked. Sure, Belle and Jeff had been through school together, had the same friends. May-or-may not have been in the same English class;

But the real connection wasn’t found in the details. It was the way their eyes lit up during conversation, the smiles shared as the rest of the world faded around them; and the inkling that this was the start of something extraordinary.

So, when they just kept hanging out, it really wasn’t a surprise to anyone. Teen years rolled into their early 20s, school students turned university; and then one day – they just grew up; realising that together, they’d just laughed their way through the best years of their lives side by side.

For all the reasons that they’d always just ‘got along’;
for all the holidays, the gym sessions, the fancy dinners and the wine tours;

for the mutual admirations – and the never-ending joy of building a life;

both Jeff and Belle realised that for them, this was it. Life together was pretty damn sweet”

SO EASY [OLIVIA DEAN]

A little over three years ago, a VERY special enquiry hit my inbox.

I can remember the moment so vividly - and still to this day, it feels like a dream.

I can tell you about the morning. It started like most mornings did in my house. I went to Dixon park for a walk and a play with my kids. This particular morning, we were walking - and I remember spotting one of my long time role models. Walking - in the flesh, hand in hand with her beautiful girlfriend.

Playing it cool, (and outing myself now) | grabbed my daughters hand - pointed (very subtly) at this couple and said
- “see that person over there, she is one of the best surfers in the world, and does lots of amazing things... one day, mummy will be brave enough to take you over and talk to her”

By midday that day, we were at the indoor pool in Raymond Terrace. It was the middle of winter. An enquiry lit up my inbox.
It was the (named in our house) “cool surfer girl” and the absolute powerhouse of her now-wife. A wedding. Their wedding. A celebrant. Me?

Surely someone close to me was pulling a little prank. It’s no secret, I’m a women’s sport FANATIC.

But it wasn’t.

There’s a saying - “never meet your idols” but I did.

Not only was I lucky enough to meet Tyler; I was invited into the most intimate space - with Lilli - one of the most amazing women; their friends and their families. And I’ll FOREVER be grateful.

Ty and Lil, this was - and still is a PINCH ME moment. And after playing it cool for waaaaay too long, I can’t hold it in any longer.

BE OUR GUEST [BEAUTY AND THE BEAST SOUNDTRACK]

When Matt and Kylie first enquired about their Disney themed wedding, I was ecstatic. A ceremony inspired by their favourite fairytales - stamped with my signature brand of cheek.

Here’s how it all began…

“…we’ll jump into our fairytale, at Once Upon a Time;

And I’ll start by quoting Finding Nemo; “When I look at you, I can feel it. I look at you, and I’m home”

And, for Kylie and Matt, that’s kind of the case. It was a world filled with possibility – and dreams of magic, where our two main characters first happened upon each other’s existence.

In this foreign land, there were a bunch of sharks, a smattering of catfish, the occasional sea cucumber – and well, plenty of fish.

And on that famed website is where Matt eyed the stunning Kylie for the very first time.

Kylie had a detailed profile; she shared her love for Disney, her desire for adventure – and the way her eyes shone bright through her photos – almost iridescent – drew him in.

So, Matt put all his might into the perfect opening message, a true Prince Charming moment - landing elegantly on;

“Hi, how are you?”

Smooth.

But as the message danced across Kylie’s screen, a smile crept across her face.

Matt, the handsome guy with the kind smile and warm eyes – the one she had spent just that little too long looking at - had slayed his first dragon and made a move.”

Also, I got to play dress ups as a princess - and my beautiful friend .with.mel immortalized the moment.

SUNSHINE [LAVERN]

Heading into my busiest week (8 days, actually) of the year.
I’ll be telling 5 beautiful love stories and sharing in 3 raucous dance floors.

Stories ranging from a random “like for a message” status on Facebook.

To a cultural event at the local library, and a cute little set up that NEITHER were keen on (but it happened anyway!)

A cocktail event at to 3x very different styled weddings at

Working with some new faces and some of my favorite people

And tomorrow, we get to throw in birthday celebrations for my favorite person in the whole wide world.

If you see me, chuck me a coffee (or a champagne). And maybe a big slab of tiramisu.

THE WAY I LOVE YOU [MICHAL LEAH]

A perfect Sunday (yesterday) spent with Maya and Blake.

“As a couple, they threw all caution to the wind – and without plan – or blueprint; made a promise to make it work, no matter how hard it could get.

Because Maya loved Blake.

And he loved…. Chicken.

Or, so he responded, the first time she said it.”

But what Blake now knows is that in Maya’s native language, the word for chicken is AYAM - and AYAM backwards, is, well, Maya.

So all’s forgiven… kinda.

ALWAYS AND ALWAYS [BENNY GOODMAN]

On what felt like the wettest Wednesday of the year, Jamie + Zac collected their few favourite people and headed south for the most intimate, intentional celebration of their love.

A love that is wild and all consuming.

A love that is both their greatest adventure, and safest haven.

And most importantly, a love that is unapologetically theirs.

The skies opened - they danced - they kissed - and after growing up as high school sweethearts, they became husband and wife.

And my girl crush captured every moment in its joyous, saturated glory.

Will be reminiscing on this day for decades to come.
