We're searching for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at So Eventful Catering (The Heitman House/The Alderman House)
As a Banquet Staff member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring each event is a resounding success. If you're committed, hardworking, and excited to be a part of a busy wedding venue, we want to hear from you!

Position: Banquet Staff/Team Members and Banquet Event Bartenders
Location: 2 Home Locations: The Heitman House/The Alderman House and Off-Site Venues
Availability: Mostly Weekends Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Occasional weekdays

Banquet Staff/ Team Member Responsibilities:

Event Setup: Assist in arranging seating, tables, decorations, and other event elements according to detailed specifications.
Event Clean Up: Efficiently clean and restore event spaces to their original condition after each function, including removal of decorations and proper disposal of waste.
Serving: Provide attentive and courteous service to guests during events, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
Food and Beverage Service: Assist in the setup and breakdown of food and beverage stations, as well as serving food and drinks to guests.
Physical Stamina: Be prepared to work mainly outside, lift and carry event equipment, and stand on your feet for extended periods.
Weekend Availability: Flexibility to work weekends is essential due to the nature of event scheduling.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow staff members, coordinators, kitchen staff and vendors to ensure seamless ex*****on of events.
Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, accommodating their requests whenever possible.
Attention to Detail: Ensure every aspect of event setup and service aligns with the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Qualifications:

Positive Attitude: Bring a smile, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude to every task.
Physical Fitness: Comfortable lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
Flexibility: Adapt to changing event requirements and willing to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a harmonious work environment.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Punctuality: Always arrive on time and ready to contribute to the team's success.

While prior experience in event or hospitality settings is a plus, we welcome individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Banquet Event Bartender Responsibilities:

As a Banquet Event Bartender, your role is pivotal in ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience during events. On event days, your responsibilities extend beyond simply pouring drinks – you'll be creating an inviting atmosphere, crafting cocktails, and offering exceptional customer service.
In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications above, bartending experience is required. Here's a breakdown of bar specific duties:

Arrive early to set up the bar area (tables,linens etc) ensuring it is clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.
Arrange all necessary bar equipment, including glassware, shakers, mixing tools, and garnishes.
Prepare the bar structure, making sure it's functional and visually appealing.
Review the event's beverage package details to understand what drinks are included and available for guests.
Set up ice bins, coolers, garnishes, and mixers for creating cocktails.
Welcome guests with a warm smile and friendly demeanor as they approach the bar.
Assist with event clean up at the conclusion of the event.

Venue Update: Our beautiful home is looking better and better everyday! We can't wait to re-open and get back to celebrating with all of our couples 🤍

Over the last 48 hours Lee County and many surrounding cities endured one of the worst storms in history. Many of these areas underwent complete devastation, including our historic Downtown Fort Myers.

In the last 24 hours we have been able to get to the property and have assessed the damage to the best of our ability. Our beautiful home has unfortunately endured water and wind damage.

At this time we are working on reasonable accommodations to fulfill all scheduled events. We will follow our event calendar & be reaching out to our October & November couples to determine the next steps.

Thank you for all that have reached out. Our thoughts are with the citizens of Lee County and the surroundings islands that weren’t so lucky! We will rebuild and we will host weddings again!
