Leona Aslanova, CEO of Innovation Starter has been researching innovation's impact on the whole society and wrote two books on the subject. Our next speaker will take us through his career as a story titled "The Invention of Fantasy". Дамян Дамянов - художник / Damyan Damyanov - artist works in the field of book design (with more than 3,000 covers to his credit), posters, illustrations, postage stamps, and calligraphy. He also writes articles on poster art and graphic design.

The most notable authors he has illustrated include: Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Gianni Rodari, Fredrik Backman, Daniil Kharms, Oscar Wilde, Franz Kafka, F. Scott Fitzgerald and James Clavel, among others. He also teaches and has had several solo exhibitions and independent projects, one of which – "Pod Ezika" “SubLingual” – also exists in book form. In 2017, Damyanov received the Konstantin Konstantinov National Award for illustration. In 2021, he won the Hristo G. Danov Award in the category ‘‘Artist or Book Design and Layout’’ for The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka and Stories Written on a Typewriter by Gianni Rodari. In 2023, he won Zlatna Chetka (Golden Brush) Award for book design and illustration.

This year, Damyanov completed his first short film project, titled Merry-Go-Underground, a four-minute stop-motion animation that explores the impact of war on childhood.

He is an Associate Professor in Fine Arts at New Bulgarian University

Our next PechaKucha creative community speaker is Daniel Dungyov who has trained 2700+ Figma users through community-based digital education initiative Фигмайстор. He will present "Reinventing Digital Education" sharing the story behind Фигмайстор that, created together with his partner, aims to reinvent education for digital makers by providing short but fun lectures that are super easy to digest and learn. They believe not only in the technology but also in building a creative community through events, workshops and job opportunities. Our first September speaker is Elitsa Kostova from VOCA Academy and she will present "The Path of Dreams: Humanity after AI Revolution" at Creative Community - PechaKucha Sofia Night #26.

Elitsa identifies and performs as visionary, experienced coach, and international business consultant. She is also the author of many award-winning training programs such as Next Generation Leaders 2018 by Kapital, Pitch2pitch in 2019, Best Career Tool in Europe for 2020.

Elitsa works with entrepreneurs from Dubai and one of the largest consortia in Belgium as a business consultant and trainer. She is a certified life coach by Noble Manhattan with over 2500 hours of practice, NLP practitioner, and has a Masters degree in Education and Training Management.

"Creating the Designer of the Future" is what DesignMorphine stands for. Associate designer Tung Nguyen will present a brief overview of DesignMorphine and after a quick personal introduction, will explain the concept of computational design. Tung will also highlight their design project collaborations with Pininfarina, Logitech, and Microsoft Garage.

Tung is an architect and computational designer who is currently pursuing his PhD degree at the UACEG in Sofia. He graduated with honors UACEG Department of Interior and Architectural Design. He has participated and won several design competitions, and has been involved with many educational courses, workshops, and lectures. Tung has been exploring computational design tools and methodologies, working on different scales from furniture to architecture and urbanism.

Our next creative speaker is Bella Vouteva who is playing the violin since the age of 5 and working at the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra before even she graduated her masters at the National Academy. Recently, together with the harpist Yana Doinova, founded Scherzo Bulgaria – a project for chamber music and performing at special events.

She has participated in various masterclasses, international tours, chamber ensembles, and has performed with leading orchestras in the country and abroad. She will be playing for us a combination of popular classic and modern pieces on Saturday at Dream Chasers (PechaKucha Sofia Vol 25)

"Finding Art and Innovation in Unexpected Places" will be presented today by Ithai Diakov at Dream Work/Play (PechaKucha Sofia Vol 24) where you can taste his ID Brew craft beers and hear the story of his evolution from filmmaker to brewer.

"Art is my passion! I grew up acting up until I moved to Germany where I found my passion in cinematography. Which led me to graduate from Sarah Lawrence College with a specialization in film producing and cinematography. Covid is what pushed me to find art in other forms as just film wasn’t enough anymore. Thus I got a certification in beer technology and brewing and now I make craft beer on a daily basis."
