Madame Screech
For nearly three whole decades, Madame Screech has been plying her trade as one of finest female DJ’s in the the south west of England. Well ahead of the curve and breaking through in a tough male-dominated scene at the time, Madame Screech quickly became a requested fixture at many of the regions leading underground club nights and parties. Employing seamless vinyl mixing alongside her fun and cheeky stage presence, she went on to earn herself a solid reputation and following, most notably at her long standing residency for criminal justice bill flag-flyers, Chapter 33. During the 90’s halcyon rave-era she could be found holding court at clubs such as the infamous Lakota (Bristol), Country Club (Dorset), the late-great Pawlett Manor (Bridgewater), Kingstons (Taunton), not to mention always having her roots firmly in the underground and playing her harder-edged House and Trance sound across the enviable south-west free party scene, from then and until now.
On the wider stage, the Madame also earned herself a coveted place on the Glastonbury Festival lineup in 1998, and also made appearances for UK festival institutions Board Masters, Wakestock and Groove Armada’s ever-popular Love Box in the heart of London.
Whether playing Electro, Melbourne Bounce, House or the harder sounds that helped shape her lengthy career, it’s business as usual with a diary filling up fast for 2019, and diverse gigs already confirmed for respected south west events, Love Summer Festival, Yarty Party Festival, Hindsight, DeJa Vu, Free Love, Club Marisco and many more! This year will also see Madame Screech make her first appearance in the party capital of world, Ibiza, and will be playing numerous gigs throughout the week-long Ibiza Trance Event.
