Bute Highland Games - Trophy & Shield Returns

Bute Highland Games allow some trophy winners to take away their awards on games day on the understanding they are returned in ample time for preparation & presentation the following year.

To avoid disappointment for this year’s winners we would therefore ask all recipients to ensure a safe return of all trophies and shields to the Trophy Convenor. All awards should be returned in a clean and satisfactory condition.

Bute Highland Games Chieftain 2024

Bute Highland Games are very much looking forward to welcoming our 2024 Chieftain, TV and Radio presenter and multi-award-winning Gaelic singer Joy Dunlop.

No stranger to Bute, Joy has performed for Bute Arts Society in Trinity Church, visited schools throughout the island to promote Gaelic language and culture and even made a stop at the Cattle Show!

Joy Dunlop is also a Scottish stepdancer and educator. Hailing from Connel, Argyll she is now based in Glasgow and enjoys combining her Gaelic, music and media work with Gaelic Development, as director of Seachdain na Gàidhlig. (World Gaelic Week).

Bute Highland Games Chieftain 2024

Bute Highland Games are absolutely thrilled to announce that our 2024 Chieftain will be TV and Radio presenter and multi-award-winning Gaelic singer Joy Dunlop.
