I made a lil limoncello tiramisu for a corporate law firm lunch. Layers of lemon mascarpone mousse, lemon curd, and homemade limoncello soaked lady fingers. Topped with fresh fruits. A light and yummy summery dessert. Serve ice cold and enjoy with espresso ☕️

Every year, Pride feels a little different to me as a gay man. Alp and I were married in 2015—the same year the Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges, granting same-sex couples the right to marry nationwide. That wasn’t that long ago. And not that long before that, we wouldn’t have had the right to marry at all.

We celebrate Pride to honor those who came before us—who marched, organized, risked everything, and refused to be silent. The parade, the glitter, the music, the joy—it’s not just a party. It’s a declaration that we’re here, we exist, and we won’t go back.

Because the truth is, not everyone supports equality. Rights can be rolled back. Progress is not permanent unless we protect it.

So yes, buy the rainbow cookies for your office. Slap that HRC sticker on your car. And support LGBTQ+ owned small businesses—not just during Pride, but all year. We may be a loud and proud 7% of the population—but the other 93% still have a lot of say in where our rights go from here.

It’s been such a busy year so far, it’s been nice to stop for a moment and enjoy spring a bit. We cleaned up the terrace from winter, and planted some flowers. The warm weather has melted away the seasonal depression. Grateful for this life, and all that comes with it.

Made this roasted carrot side dish for Easter and wanted to share. So easy, and delicious. 🥕

Cut tri-color carrots into oblique cuts, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper and roast at 425 until fork tender and a bit browned in color, about 18 minutes.

Separately add feta and a splash of heavy cream to a food processor, and blend until smooth.

In the bottom of a platter, swoosh the whipped feta, top with roasted carrots, drizzle honey all over the top, cracked black pepper, lemon zest, olive oil, toasted pistachios, and picked dill. Eat warm or room temp - delicious.

To start, stationary farmhouse cheeses, charcuteries, and crudités. Followed by a plated first course salad, family style mains, and desserts. Happy clients and guests.
