I have been very quiet on the old social media-front this last year or two. To be honest, I kind of got worn out by Facebook algorithms and feeling the need to have to post regularly in order to not disappear to the bottom of people’s newsfeeds as a bid to try and make you pay for advertising. I found that when I just posted as and when I had something to share, there were very few people that actually ended up seeing them, so it seemed like a bit of a waste of time really.

Recently, some people have been asking me where they can see my photos and since I no longer have a website, the answer is on my hard drive! So, apparently there are still some people interested in seeing some photos, so I will continue to share things when I can and if you see and enjoy them, great! And if Facebook buries them beneath the pile of paid dribble that you have to wade through, then I’m not going to stress too much about it.

Here is a photo that I took at the Bay of Skaill on Monday, the day we had summer 2024.
