We see the evidence of this vast frame of reference in his selections, versatility and ability to read a crowd. The way he experiments with old and modern melodies, use of beats, local sounds and general mixing ability leaves little doubt that Uncool Luke was made to grace the decks. A combination of drums and smooth flows that he layers with sensual lyrics and wavey sounds until the crowd buckles under his musical genius. Luke has got the art of mixing down to an art form that serves as the basis for his creative mixing where he plays with various sounds and songs till it's created a crowd pleaser. His place within the Cape Town night life has been pretty much set in stone having worked at The Bang Bar/The Loft for three years as a DJ and events coordinator and played at some of the Mother Cities most coveted events including: Head Honcho events ( Waves, Stay Fresh, Birthday Bash), SIZZLED, LOVEALL and Gather, among others. Uncool Luke is not only able to hold a crowd, but thanks to an active social media presence, he is able to pull a crowd too.
