Having a dedicated area to put your flowering orchids or ones in spike so that you can inspect or train them is very handy it also helps if you have your flowering area no matter how small even if it is indoors to have the brightest light coming from one direction this will help all the developing flower buds form in the same direction if that is the affect you desire, it also helps if you train them so the plant presents itself facing its best side the same as the flowers are facing😉

Hardcanes put on a beautiful long-lasting display, this is a first flowering of this 2year old plant and will put on an incredible show once it has several growths (3-4 year-old) and the ability for some of these to flower again from old canes will truly be stunning once it has 6+ racemes just like a lot of other dendrobiums these require a dry winter break and will tolerate much colder conditions once kept dry and sheltered from cold winds. i only have a few left of these in flowering size so contact me if you want one put aside as the remainder will be at the winter shows i will be attending in a few weeks where i will have a nice selection of hardcanes, Paphs, Phals etc. Happy growing and hope to catch you all at the shows.
