Usha Mittal Institute of technology is back with its annual cultural festival Arcane Illusions 2023,located in SNDT Juhu campus.It is the only all women's engineering college in Mumbai.After the grand succes of Arcane Illusions 2022 they are back with another banger this year . The college is celebrating young talents with power packed and dazzling events like Fashion Show,Inter Dance Competition,Talent Hunt and a newer addition Intra Dance Competition . XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, and IlluminatiX: The Media & PR cell of XIM University, concluded the Annual Media Conclave Communiqué, with stellar success on 29th January 2022.

The theme for the Communiqué was "Needs vs. Want: A Media Dilemma". The event started with the inaugural address of Prof. Fr. S Antony Raj S.J, Registrar, XIM University, Odisha. The Panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Arpita Saha, Assistant Professor of School of Communications, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha.

The eminent speakers of the conclave were –

1. Mr. Gurbir Singh, Consulting Editor, New Indian Express. He commenced the discussion about the various media formats available to the audience to combat the dilemma of the needs and wants of their media diet.
2. Mr. Nikhil Chandwani, Co-founder - NYK DAILY. He started his deliberation by talking about demystifying news headlines and crafted, emphasizing sentimentality.
3. Ms. Arushi Sana, Founder - NYK DAILY. She addressed the topic by citing the Vedic literature, the concept of Dharma revolving around the principles of Artha, the material and social needs, and the K**a, wants and desires.
4. Mr. B.V. Rao, Group Editor - TV9 Network. Mr. Rao started his speech by quoting his first editor - “our job is to tell the reader what they need but not what they want”. He discussed social media as a source of information that can sometimes transfer misleading information.
An article writing competition - Critiqué was also organised where students from across colleges participated. The results of the competition were declared as part of the closing proceedings of Communiqué.

The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks by Utkarsh Srivastava, Coordinator, IlluminatiX, XIM University (New Campus).

School of Rural Management, XIM University, New Campus, Odisha, and RMAX, Rural Managers’ Association of XIM University, along with RM Career Advisory Services, hosted Abhivyakti' 21, from 30th-31st October 2021

The theme for the event was "Is Phygital the new normal? Implications for Business and Development". Dr. Niraj Kumar, Dean, School of Rural Management, commenced the event with a welcome note. Post this, Prof Fr. S. Antony Raj, S.J., Registrar and Fr. Antony R. Uvari, S.J, Vice-Chancellor addressed the students.

The theme for the first panel was "Agriculture digitalization: future roadmap to instant solution for farmers." The discussion revolved around Agri solutions and rural finance.
The topic for the second panel was "Reinventing offline marketing: Blueprint Sketch for New Normal." The speakers shared an overview of the current situation of the retail industry and how COVID-19 has affected it.

The topic for the third panel was "Scope of technology in Rural Development." The discussion revolved around National Education Policy 2020 and the transformation of the rural sector.
The topic for the last panel was "Post Covid: Transition and Innovative Banking Business." The industry stalwarts talked in brief about licensing of microfinance institutions.

The discussion ended with a Q&A session. The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and attendees.

School of Human Resource Management, XIM University, New Campus, Odisha, and XIMAHR, the HR Association of XIM University, hosted its annual flagship business conclave Ksh*tij'21, with stellar success on 23rd October 2021.

The theme for the conclave was "Bespoke Compensation-Is That a Future Reality?" The event started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Andrew Dutta, Dean, School of Human Resource Management, XIM University, New Campus, Odisha. Dr. Andrew Dutta shed light on the importance of compensation strategy in the post-pandemic era and the shift in the mindset of the organizations while devising compensation structures. Further, he talked about the rising awareness in organizations about the changing nature of compensation and its importance in an employee's career trajectory. His address concluded on the note how the topic for the conclave would shape the actionability of the HR managers of the school in the near future.

After concluding the panel discussion, the moderator opened the platform for a Q&A session. Post this, the “White Paper Presentation Competition” results were announced, followed by a closing speech by Mr. Manash Ranjan Mandhata, NHRD Secretary and VP- Corporate HR, Maithan Ispat Ltd.

School of Commerce, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, hosted its annual business conclave, PRIVITTI’21 on 9th October 2021.

The theme for the Conclave was ‘Interaction of Market and Economy’ The event was brought to us by InfinX- The Finance Committee from the School of Commerce. Ayantica Dhar – the Student Coordinator of Infinx, the functional committee of School of Commerce, XIM University- New Campus started the event by welcoming the dignitaries and the students. She then welcomed Prof P.K Mohanty, Dean, School of Commerce, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha to address the people attending the conclave. He spoke about the importance of the market and the economy, and how all the bureaucrats, professionals have to work together to tackle the issues. The Introductory speech was given by Fr. Antony R Uvari, S.J, Vice-Chancellor, XIM University, (New Campus), Odisha. He started his speech by praising how the vision of the school is in alignment with the vision of the university and promotes the creation of resilient leaders – which is the need of the hour amidst the covid 19 pandemic and climate change scenarios. He concluded by the inauguration of the Business conclave of School of Commerce, Privitti' 21.

The conclave commenced at 10 AM, and the speakers for panel 1 were Mr. Nikhil Nath-RFP Team Leader, Fidelity International, and Mr. Bhavik Thakkar - Chief Executive Officer, Abans Investment Managers.
Post the lunch break the event resumed at 2 PM with the speakers of panel 2 – Mr. Hanuman Joshi - Heading Mergers & Acquisitions, Embassy Group, and Mr. Biswa Ketan Das - Chief Executive Officer, IIBF.
The event was concluded with a Q&A session where the students raised pertinent questions to the panel, making the session interactive and insightful, followed by the vote of thanks to the speakers, faculty members, and everyone who contributed to its smooth functioning and flawless ex*****on.

School of Human Resource Management, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, and XIMAHR, the HR Association of XIM University, hosted its annual Flagship HR Symposium' 21, with stellar success on 25th September 2021.

The theme for the Symposium was "Post Pandemic Hybrid Workforce Model: Opportunities, Challenges and the way forward". The event started with the lighting of the lamp. Dr Mousumi Padhi, Assistant Professor of School of Human Resource Management, XIM University, gave the welcome address followed by an Inaugural address by Prof Fr. E.A. Augustine, S.J, Registrar, XIM University.

The address was followed by the National Anthem, post which the panel discussions took place. The first Panel discussed the topic, "Towards a performance-driven hybrid workplace: Revisiting the HR practices in the post-pandemic era”, while the topic for discussion in Panel 2 was "Leveraging Technology to engage and motivate the hybrid workforce". The Symposium saw avid HR leaders from different industries analysing the current workforce expectations and proposing solutions by leveraging technology.

Post the panel discussion, students interacted with the speakers through the Q&A session. Finally, the Symposium was concluded with a vote of thanks to everyone who contributed to the event’s smooth functioning and flawless ex*****on.

The theme for the Conclave is ‘Transforming Cities: Striving Towards Resilient Urban Systems.’ The event is brought to us by HabituX- The Student Association of SHS and in collaboration with CAS-SHS, who have been consistently doing a brilliant job of getting reputed personalities and esteemed leaders from the industry enlightening the students through their insights and giving the students an opportunity to discuss with the panelists various urban issues by fostering greater interaction between the industry and academia that enriches the students about the needs and demands of the industry in the urban domain world.

Talking about city resilience, which can be achieved by making urban transport system sustainable, providing resilient infrastructure, reducing impact of urban built environment, focusing on community networks, innovative solutions to improve urban livelihoods. She addressed the speakers and talked about the potential of financial bonds and India being one of the early adopters of Sustainability and CSR practices. Prof. Fr. KJSCE Symphony 2021: The Annual Cultural Festival orchestrated by K.J. Somaiya College Of Engineering is being conducted virtually from the 18th to 20th March.

Revamping over the years and constantly growing bigger, the pandemic couldn't stop Symphony from rescuing everyone from their mundane lives and leave them with memories of a lifetime.
Why should one be a part of Symphony? School of Commerce, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar successfully organized a discussion on Union Budget 2021-2022 on 13th February 2021. The event started with a welcome note given by Prof. P. K. Mohanty, Dean, School of Commerce, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, where he introduced the union budget, which he considered to be a vision document, especially after the blow of pandemic in the country. He exclaimed that there was no change in the tax regime and how the stock market grew by 5% since the Budget's launch. He also mentioned the country's growth drivers for the given period, said in the Budget 2021-2022.

The discussion was carried forward by an eminent speaker Mr. Bharat Kumar Sahu, Additional Company Secretary, NALCO, where he discussed the growth difference between the US and Japan in recent times, the reason why the US is a larger economy as compared to Japan with the help of an example. He focused on infrastructure and that how this Budget can also be called "Infrastructure Budget." He also mentioned Atmanirbhar Bharat and how it could impact the Indian economy, especially after the Budget. He talked about good governance, substantial infrastructure expenditure, health expenditure, education for all, and the government's disinvestment as planned in the Budget 2021-2022.
The next speaker Mr. J B Das, Practicing Company Secretary, gave a different perspective about the Union Budget. He mentioned how only 6% of the current population pays tax and how there were no tax system changes that could have increased citizens' purchasing power. He also discussed the tribunals and the privatization of two Public Sector Banks and one General Insurance, which he considered a drastic move by the government.

Then there was a question-answer session where the students asked thought-provoking questions, including questions on Monetization of Assets and the Tourism sector. The event was concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Prof. Vijaya Batth.
