ATTENTION MINI SPRINT DRIVERS:

This Friday and Saturday will be a two-day show at Uranium Capitol Speedway in Grants, New Mexico. Friday night will be a Non-Wing event and Saturday will be a Winged event. This will be the last chance to race at Uranium Capitol Speedway in 2017.

$100 2-day entry fee/pit pass for drivers or $60 single day entry fee/pit pass. Crew is $50 for a 2-day pit pass or $30 for a single day pit pass.

Friday: Gates open at 5:00 with races starting at 8:00pm
Saturday: Gates open at 4:00 with races starting at 7:00pm

Friday night will be $225 to win, but we are looking at $400 to win on Saturday night (5+ cars) with a decent pay down scale. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on Friday night will also receive a customized embroidered jacket. We have been given an ultimatum. Build the car count at Race Sandia or get dropped from the schedule. We need as many cars out as possible next weekend or plan on selling or racing out of state. If you want to run non wing only or winged I need to know. I'm out of town until Thursday but come on let's show up next Saturday.

Next club race is June 30, and July 1 at Uranium Capital Speedway in MIlan NM. 3/8ths track running non wing on June 30, and winged on July 1. This race is to benefit Wittens Warriors. I am trying to get purse information from the track. I will keep you posted.

URGENT: Uranium Capital Speedway has changed the Founders Race to a single race on Saturday May 27. 2017. It will be a non wing race and will pay $500 to win if we can get 10 cars minimum. Please respond if you are going to make it.

It is finally here, the first race of the 2017 Championship chase. This Saturday night at Race Sandia, races start at 6:00 pm, but you need to be there early to get your car teched. Membership dues also need to be paid if you are running for the championship. THis is a non-wing race.

Mini Sprint Winged race at Aztec Speedway next Saturday night. It is the Ryan Bard/Tom Melloy Memorial and would like to see a good car count. Eric Smith Racing will be there as well as the Huish Racing team out of Aztec. All mini sprints are welcome and engine modifications will determine weight. Race Sandia is having a final practice on Sunday April 2, 2017 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Thanks to Charlie for giving folks that are just now completing car's to get out and run some practice laps. Eric and I will be out and hope to see a good turnout.

UPDATE: Club meeting will be held at Race Sandia at 10:00 am this coming Saturday. There is a test and tune that day and we can discuss the needed things like schedule and rules.

Congratulations to Jorge Beltran in winning the New Mexico Mini Sprints Championship, and the Rookie of the Year award.

Congratulations to our 2016 Champion and Rookie of the Year Jorge Beltran. Jorge stayed consistent with his finishes and when Eric Smith and Lalo Saenz both ran into bad luck the last two races at the Sprint Car Stampede Jorge was able to score enough points to move into 1st place. 2nd place went to Eric Smith, and 3rd to Lalo Saenz.
