Hey Gang! Long time no talk 😁! With the continued rise of Covid (wear your masks and stay 6ft apart 🙃) extending hibernation for traditional events, I have a few tips & tricks to break the cycle.
For my wedding babies, the wedding is less about your family witnessing your union and more about uniting two souls! In the same breath we all love a party with our favorite people. Instead of setting up a Zoom meeting in the age of spotty Wifi & lagging screens or considering ditching the wedding all together. Plan for a small (small 👏🏾) and intimate ceremony, record it, & ask your guest list to donate $20-$40 for the tape! Then set up a drive by "reception" so nearby family and friends can see the happy couple! I recommend at a park or empty parking lot so excited honks don't spook your neighbors!
For my special event babies, it's easy to decorate a back patio/back yard, front yard, or parking lot to celebrate your event. My favorite site for decorations is www.webuyblack.com 😉! If you crave the interaction of people outside your household keep the invitees list small (small 👏🏾) and have the gathering outside. The fresh air does wonders for the soul! If you like to go out and dance with friends for special events, create a Quarantine turn up playlist and send it to your friends! You can meet outdoors and have a mini dance party in the park or set up a FT dance night!
