We had a really great night at our Open Mic for November - long-time friends, newcomers, regulars and occasional visitors - it was lovely to see you all!

George was on holiday in the wilds of Shropshire so just my phone to capture the cracking performances and exceptional beauty of the line-up✨

We'll be back for our Christmas get-together on December 4th 😎

The Lighted Stage Open Mic for November is coming up on Wednesday 6th at The Mason's Arms, Denbigh - all welcome to join us.

You will always have the chance to play up to four songs as a short set, with maybe a couple more later depending on how busy we are.

Full PA, Bry on sound and a friendly atmosphere - we start around 8.15 - come to watch, play or both.

We'll be at The Barrow - St Asaph tonight for our October Songwriter Session.

We'll start open mic style with the PA set up - two/three or maybe four original songs each, depending on how busy we are - then we'll have a Songwriter Showcase from The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo.

We start at 7.30 - all welcome to join in or join the audience 😎

Our Songwriter Session for October is coming up this Friday - October 25th - at The Barrow - St Asaph.

This month we'll have the PA set up and we'll start with playing some original songs open-mic style. All welcome to join in or listen!

Then we'll have a Songwriter Showcase from The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo, Mike Flaherty, playing his new EP, including his song, 'Frank's Girl', which will be featured on BBC Music Introducing in Wales with Adam Walton the next day 😎

Come along and catch him before he's famous!

Our next Songwriter Sessions meeting is coming up on October 25th at The Barrow - St Asaph, starting at 7.30pm.

This month we have a Songwriter Showcase with The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo and we'll have the PA set up.

So we'll start the evening with two or three original songs from whoever shows up, then we'll have the Showcase in the second half of the evening.

The Lighted Stage Open Mic for October is tonight, Wednesday 2nd, at The Mason's Arms, Rhyl Road, Denbigh.

Full Mackie PA with fold-back monitor, Bry on sound, George with his camera and a friendly atmosphere. Everyone plays up to four songs as a set, then maybe more later on, depending on how busy it is.

Get in touch in advance if you want to bring a band, play the didgeridoo or have any unusual tech requirements and we'll make sure we're ready for you! Otherwise, just show up.

Tonight we have a feature set from The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo, playing his new EP, with still plenty of room on the list for everyone else too.

I put names down in the order people arrive but if you prefer to play early/later on in the evening, I'll juggle things around - I'm Elaine - if I don't spot you as you arrive, come and introduce yourself 😀

We had a really interesting discussion at our last Songwriter Session at The Barrow - St Asaph alongside a look at the complexities of collaborative process - great night!

Next up is our monthly Open Mic at The Masons Arms, Denbigh - we'll be having a feature set from The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo, including the songs from his new EP, with plenty of room for anyone who wants to just turn up and play as well!

That's Wednesday October 2nd and we start around 8.15 - we've got a full PA, Bry on sound, George behind the camera and even a house guitar you can borrow - all welcome to come and join us!

It's our Songwriter Session at The Barrow - St Asaph tonight - we start at 7.30 - catch-up chat on our last two events, update on current projects from me and Donna, and Bry's discussion of 'interpolation' to look forward to!

Then we'll play some original songs - the prompt is one you don't play often, a personal favourite and one you've never been quite happy with - but, as always, play anything you like 😄

All welcome to join us - we're not plugging in tonight but you can bring acoustic amps etc. if you like.

If you're thinking of getting out and about looking for live music in the next week or so, Penni Neale Music and Steve Juckes-Hughes are at Old Wives' Tales on Saturday 28th, you could see me, Jude Lane, at The Hoptimist in Abergele on Sunday 29, 4-6 pm, and still be in time to catch up with Ruthin All-styles charity event.

Our October open mic at The Masons, Denbigh, is coming up on Wednesday 2nd and we'll have a feature spot from one of our Songwriter group members, Mike Flaherty aka The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo, to promote his new EP.

Then you might like to go a little further afield to see Vera Van Heeringen and Brooks Williams - we saw them in Oswestry this week and they are really great!

We all had a very good time at The Barrow - St Asaph for our first event for the North Wales International Music Festival Fringe with sets from Jude Lane and Mike&Rosa - we'll be back at The Barrow for our regular Songwriter Session on September 27th.
