I still can’t believe tomorrow I’ll be on a plane to SFO to cook out in Sonoma for the Races this weekend!! 🥹 I am so elated for this new opportunity and adventure and can’t wait to feed the team!!!

Another wonderful private dinner in the books, featuring ’s beautiful pea tendrils 🤩 I am always so grateful to be welcomed into guest’s homes to bring them these kind of experiences, and I always love seeing everybody’s kitchens 😍😂

Words truly can’t describe what being a part of Food and Wine Fest meant to me. To see my name up there with so many other talented chefs and established restaurants, to keep getting the question “so where’s your restaurant at?”, to having people come up to our stand asking “is this the short ribs or the mushroom chicharron?! We were told to come here!”, and people stopping me on their way out to say my dish was their favorite bite of the evening. For all the stress, panic attacks, dyeing my hair at 11pm the night before with the wrong colors so I could distract myself and try to stop freaking out 😂

I couldn’t have done this without the support and help from so many, but I’m especially and always grateful to my mentor for always showing me the way and pushing me to be a better chef than I believed I could be, and and .ian_ for holding it down and being the best team I could ask for. To everybody at the Arboretum, and , thank y’all for inviting me to be a part of this amazing experience.

I get asked a lot what my style of cuisine is, and I’ve learned that it’s hard to say it’s one particular thing. It’s a culmination of all of my experiences, of different cultures and foods I grew up with, of different styles of cuisine I’ve learned from working with other chefs. It’s something that changes and grows as I do, an expression of myself, and this dish was my way of sharing that.

When I was a kid I was convinced I was going to become this well-renowned artist. I tried drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, so many different mediums. And I was mostly terrible, at all of them 😂 it felt so forced, like I was trying to pluck the creativity from somewhere inside me. But with food, man. I lay in bed at night and just picture dishes, I see the colors and components floating around. I have notebooks upon notebooks filled with random menus, pairings & dish ideas. Food is the one medium I feel like I can express myself truly. It is my passion & my joy, and my absolute pleasure to feed y’all every day. 💚
