This jubilant January wedding in Mesa was filled with so much awesomeness. ๐คฉ The โmaids jewel tone dresses ๐, an on-site artist capturing the love ๐จ, and the wedding parties impromptu balcony sing-along ๐ถ were standouts on this beautiful day. ๐ And special recognition to Tavit who shot many candids from the guests POV (peep the carousel for a few ๐). One of my favorite es**rt card displays was this โparty animalโ shelf. My couple spent months thrifting enough plastic animal figurines so each guest would have one to lead to their assigned table.๐ฆ They then cut a slit for the card holder and painted gold to match the aesthetics of their decor. โจ It was a big hitโI even saw guests swapping to be more in line with their spirit animal.๐ฆ New meaning to the chant of lions, tigers and bears, oh my! ๐ฆ

Yesterdayโs wedding was the start of new possibilities. ๐ค For weddings that I have short flip times or high decor set-ups, I bring an assistant with me. When my usual helpers all had commitments yesterday, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring my son along to learn the biz. โจTrey turned 14 last week and heโs been asking to tag along for a few years now so it was time. He did great! ๐ I had him place programs, menus and candle centerpieces. ๐ฏI did catch him sneaking away to check the score on the Seahawks ๐๐ game but I guess everyone is entitled to a work breakโฆeven when your mom is the boss. ๐
A remembrance of last year was the high number of my weddings affected by rain. ๐ง In a typical year, I might have one or two that I have to create a contingency plan for but Mother Nature was playing hard ball in โ22 where I had five ceremonies that needed to ensure cover from the elements. โ๏ธ For this October wedding, we were at the stunning where they have a covered terrace typically used for cocktail hour. This made for the perfect spot to move the ceremony to since it was safe from the rain while still offering red rock views. โฐ The couple took the change in stride and fortunately got a break from the storm after the ceremony to capture their coupleโs portraits outside. ๐ A reminder to those of you in the midst of your wedding planning that you canโt control the weather but you can hire someone to deal with it. ๐ My coupleโs day turned out as beautiful as they had envisioned-for that, we give cheers! ๐ฅ

How my couple met is straight from the script of a Lifetime movie. ๐ฅ Guess you could summarize as โlike at first flightโ as they were boarding the same plane. โ๏ธ So much so that the groom intentionally missed his connecting flight to spend more time with his instant crush. ๐ฅฐ Looking back, that well played move gained him a wife so hats off for following his gut (and the heart had a little something to do with it too). ๐
Their fall Sedona wedding featured subtle nods to their fur-baby, Nelson (peep the cake), a vinyl guest sign-in complete with a vintage record player, ๐ถ and the best dip kiss pose Iโve seenโฆnailed it! ๐ Yep, its PLANE to see these two are in love. ๐
