Recap of the perfect City Hall elopement for this 🏛️ My sweet couple planned a romantic wedding day of an intimate ceremony on the steps of City Hall with an outdoor patio reception. 🫶 Sprinkle in a first look at The Orpheum Theatre and golden hour portraits in downtown Phoenix, it was a dreamy day. ✨

This jubilant January wedding in Mesa was filled with so much awesomeness. 🤩 The ‘maids jewel tone dresses 💃, an on-site artist capturing the love 🎨, and the wedding parties impromptu balcony sing-along 🎶 were standouts on this beautiful day. 🙌 And special recognition to Tavit who shot many candids from the guests POV (peep the carousel for a few 👀). So special for the couple to view how their loved ones experienced their day. 📸

One of my favorite es**rt card displays was this “party animal” shelf. My couple spent months thrifting enough plastic animal figurines so each guest would have one to lead to their assigned table.🦒 They then cut a slit for the card holder and painted gold to match the aesthetics of their decor. ✨ It was a big hit—I even saw guests swapping to be more in line with their spirit animal.🦓 New meaning to the chant of lions, tigers and bears, oh my! 🦁

I might always be behind on posting my wedding highlights—no social media maven over here—but can’t bypass this fall stunner. 🤩 The couple chose the color palette of orange, peach and cream hues. 🧡 So aesthetically pleasing paired with Sedona landscapes. 🌅 Loved their dessert bar, complete with a churro station, and bride and her mother enjoying a “we made it through wedding planning” dance together. 💃 🪩

What a joyful fall wedding this was 🍂 Lush florals of rust, peach and cream shades filled the ceremony and reception lawns. ✨ The seating directory, which the couple designed and built, was a stunner. 🤩 And dinner and dancing lakeside on a perfect Arizona night, was the most romantic setting to celebrate with your loved ones. 🥰 No better joy of life. 🤗

Yesterday’s wedding was the start of new possibilities. 🤗 For weddings that I have short flip times or high decor set-ups, I bring an assistant with me. When my usual helpers all had commitments yesterday, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring my son along to learn the biz. ✨Trey turned 14 last week and he’s been asking to tag along for a few years now so it was time. He did great! 🙌 I had him place programs, menus and candle centerpieces. 🕯I did catch him sneaking away to check the score on the Seahawks 💙💚 game but I guess everyone is entitled to a work break…even when your mom is the boss. 😂

A remembrance of last year was the high number of my weddings affected by rain. 🌧 In a typical year, I might have one or two that I have to create a contingency plan for but Mother Nature was playing hard ball in ‘22 where I had five ceremonies that needed to ensure cover from the elements. ☔️ For this October wedding, we were at the stunning where they have a covered terrace typically used for cocktail hour. This made for the perfect spot to move the ceremony to since it was safe from the rain while still offering red rock views. ⛰ The couple took the change in stride and fortunately got a break from the storm after the ceremony to capture their couple’s portraits outside. 🙌 A reminder to those of you in the midst of your wedding planning that you can’t control the weather but you can hire someone to deal with it. 😉 My couple’s day turned out as beautiful as they had envisioned-for that, we give cheers! 🥂

Color sums up this wedding highlight. 🌈 And I’m not just referring to the couples choice of vibrant, fun hues in their decor, but their energetic, captivating personalities too. 🥰 Can’t put into words how perfectly suited these two are—they shine bright with love and laughter. 🌟 Crazy to think it took a 10+ year friendship for the spark to take flame! 🔥

My standouts to their nuptials was the couples true teamwork with infusing their ideas and skills into the design of the day. 🫶 The multi panel ceremony backdrop was built by the groom while all the sola florals were created by the bride. 💐 I mean, talk about perfect harmony! 💞

I was honored to play a part in bringing all these personal touches together on their *colorful* day! A great reminder that life is a painting, and you are the artist. 🎨

How my couple met is straight from the script of a Lifetime movie. 🎥 Guess you could summarize as “like at first flight” as they were boarding the same plane. ✈️ So much so that the groom intentionally missed his connecting flight to spend more time with his instant crush. 🥰 Looking back, that well played move gained him a wife so hats off for following his gut (and the heart had a little something to do with it too). 💕

Their fall Sedona wedding featured subtle nods to their fur-baby, Nelson (peep the cake), a vinyl guest sign-in complete with a vintage record player, 🎶 and the best dip kiss pose I’ve seen…nailed it! 💋 Yep, its PLANE to see these two are in love. 😉

I grew up in Indiana, in a small town outside Ft. Wayne for those curious. Similar to a town that Mellencamp would sing about. 🎶 Though I made Arizona🌵my home 19 years ago, I still love connecting with my Midwest roots.🏡 So when a couple from Indy reached out about coordinating their Sedona destination wedding, I was honored to assist. 🙏 So many great moments from Kaitlin & Dan’s day, even with Mother Nature tossing us a rain delay. From the romantic candlelight tablescapes, their cake adorned with mini donuts and the couple’s (Smirnoff) icing of their wedding party, the day was full of laughter and love. ✨ Hoosier Hospitality at its finest I’d say! 🙌
