Mornings around here have been insane. I am constantly looking for ways to make them easier and more efficient. On Sundays I make a big batch of waffles and freeze them for an easy toaster breakfast. I mean, who needs Eggos?

6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups/240 grams all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of granulated or brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
1 cup milk
4 large eggs

When we started this company I thought it was just because I loved food, not knowing that I was continuing a story started long before my own. History is a beautiful thing. It reminds us of the people who paved the way for us. My Great Aunt, Virginia Bennett, owned the largest African American catering company in Mahoning County, Ohio. Our Passed&Plated family is growing!!!!! Liv is halfway through her pregnancy so we are starting to prepare for baby Magnolia’s arrival. We are a two woman team which means we are shutting down June-August for maternity leave. If you’re already on our books don’t worry-you’re covered. If not, we have more openings in the Spring and we will be back up and running September 1st
