Few weeks ago, I celebrated my Birthday. This year was not the usual. While all birthdays special, I always choose this time to reflect and evaluate.

This year for me represents a pearl. It symbolizes hope. No matter the age or style of a pearl, it still remained highly priced. I will let the pearl that is in me shine unapologetically.

FYI Pearls are formed from an irritation its painful and irritating to the oyster. Not all oysters produce pearls though. Pearls are rare. Whatever that pearl looks like for you, remember that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Yes, there are more difficult times and stumbling blocks that lie ahead. There are mistakes to be made and lessons to be learned. That is part of life.

But what matters is how I handle these obstacles and what I learn and how I grow from it.
