HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
I have loved every couple I have worked with, each of them has become dear friends. But every now and then you come across that special couple that you can just see the love and commitment that they have to each other and to their family. It was such a pleasure working with these two!! Wishing them the most wonderful anniversary!!!

So I always feel like Mondays are for Music. Every Monday I will be posting the greatest wedding songs out there.

Since this is my first one, I will do one that is a little special to me. Not only is it my wedding song but also the name of my business. 👰🤵💕💕💕

"I'm not trying to hurt your feelings."
This is what we hear all day to those who want your wedding to be something other than what you and your partner have planned.

During Covid, everyone has a strong opinions on how things should be and how you should have your wedding. Here are a few tips to maneuver through these strong opinions without hurting someone's feelings.

So your first step it to know if you are the type of person who knows how to say no. (no shame here, I am a yes person all day long) But you need to know, if you are a yes person like me, then you need to find that support person who can say no for you. May it be your partner, someone in the wedding party, or even your wedding planner but have someone by your side who can see your vision and can say no.

Everyone is going to want to help in some way, when the ideas start coming your way, I encourage the "That's a lovely idea but I don't think that will go with the vibe we are trying to create" and if they are still pushing, just simply say "Let me talk to (your partner) and see what they think" Then be sure to have that sidebar conversation so you both have each others back on this.

It is all meant with love and caring so keep it in the back of your mind. At the end of the day, this is about what you and your partner has envisioned and you are inviting people to join you on the adventure.

Communication is the key.

So during weddings, things can get away from us. From finding a venue to selecting the party favors. The number one thing I will remind couples during this process is to keep touching base with each other.
This is something that I have always stressed with couples before Covid, now that we are planning weddings again, it is something I have talking with clients even more.
Parents, friends, and family want only the best for your day. The only thing is, their ideas may be different then what you and your partner have chosen.
So do yourself a favor, once a month during your planning process take a day (if you can't take the day then just a few hours) alone with your partner. Take this time to talk about the wedding and just spending time together. This is time to talk about everything that is going right and even the things that you may not be so excited for. Then you can create a plan to either remove the things you don't want or figure out a compromise.
Stay in touch with what is really going on with each other's wants.

Happy Monday

Today lets talk about moving forward with your wedding and not feeling bad about it.

So there is a pandemic, people are getting sick and people are scared. There is no end in sight for when this may go away so what are you going to do, you are going to proceed forward with your wedding.

This may mean that many family members and friends are not going to come, and that ok. This means its will be a smaller wedding. We can not control many things right now but what you can do is help make your guests who are attending feel a little more comfortable while celebrating your wedding with you.

To start, I would recommend an outdoor wedding in a place where people can spread out and this time of year is amazing for outdoor weddings. Then you can have a little fun with this, different facemask idea and sanitizing stations placed discretely in different areas with fun signs saying things like "Be wise and Sanitize" or "Spread Love not Germs"

As wedding professionals work to think outside the box to make sure your wedding is everything you hoped it would be, keep in mind that you are marring your best friend and getting that Happily Ever After.

Let's Elope!!

Yep, I said it...you are done waiting and just are ready to get married. Your family and friends will cringe but lets put this all in perspective.

Covid crashed in and changed everything from the way we work to the way we spend our vacations. This also means this has changed with way we celebrate weddings.

This doesn't mean you need to just run to the courthouse and sign the "paperwork" and not make it as special as it is. This means you can take a moment and have a simple romantic moment with your partner (and possibly family members if you feel safe doing that)

If it is important to you to celebrate with friends and family I have been suggesting to celebrate at your 1 year anniversary with a full on reception. It's an amazing way to celebrate that first year and hopefully coming out of Covid.

There are so many ways to get through this but at the end of the day, this is about what you and your partner want and your friends and family will completely support you once they get over their dreams for what your wedding day would look like.

So you have decided to postpone your date. You have gone through the emotions, spoken with family and friends and in order to have the day you wanted postponing was the best option. So now what??

Time to pick a new date, weather it is a year from the original date or something sooner. This may seem a little overwhelming but just take one step at a time and you can get through this.

The first place to start is the venue...gather a few dates and see what is available. Keep in mind that there are many couples doing the same thing so try to be flexible. Friday's and Sunday's are also very popular wedding days.

Next, it's time to contact all your vendors that you have signed a contract with. You have hand picked these wedding professionals and you will want to make sure they are available too.

Once you have lined the stars with your venue and your vendors, you will have your new DATE!!

Hi there, I am going to spend the rest of this month talking about the elephant in the room, Covid.

As if weddings were not stressful enough, now we have a pandemic that puts our family and friends at risk. So, do you have a wedding? Do you postpone? Do you give up on the dream of a big wedding and just elope?

Everyone’s dream is a little different and if your date means something special to you and you don’t want to wait….I want you to know that it’s ok. This day is about you and your partner blending your lives and weather you postpone the big wedding or elope and have a reception later when you feel it is safe, it is all acceptable.

So, take a moment, feel and the feelings. If you move your date, mourn the loss of that date. It was an important date and your hearts were set on it. If you want to move forward with your wedding, know that the venue, catering staff and everyone involved are going to do their absolute best to make sure your guest are as safe as possible. You can have some fun options for those guest that just don’t feel safe yet like a zoom call set up for the ceremony, dinner delivery for the reception. You can even hire a designated person take your “at home” guest to all the tables to say hi to the other guests.

Whatever the outcome, take your time. Weigh out the pros and cons and then lets get to planning that wedding.
