Sad news. It is the end of our era... Sadly as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.... This has been a difficult year and a very difficult decision to make.
For us there has been a lot of obstacles over the last several years and it has become even more difficult to continue putting on our shows. It's been even harder to get help or anyone to actually show up to help.
Between financial changes, setting up the displays in the heat every year, local traffic challenges and a change in community support over the last couple of years as well as the ever expensive constant upgrades to the display it has all honestly just taken it's toll.
We enjoyed the long run and did it all out of our own pockets for our own love of the holidays.
It was all about bringing the community together for us and that's what matters most. (And if we had to do it all over again we wouldn't change anything. It was worth it to us.)
But the time has come to move on from it all.
This year there is construction going on all around us due to a building boom in the area. That was just the final icing on the cake for safety and traffic control. Not to mention both of us having health issues in recent years that continue to be burdensome. (round 2 :( )
For us the time has come to make the difficult decision to end the display. It honestly has become way too popular for this tiny area. Not to mention it has just become too expensive and too time-consuming. We have other financial needs that are more important.
UPDATE:
That being said the entire -DISPLAY HAS BEEN SOLD-
It will be rebirthed out in Floral City
(Keeping it local and building on to an existing display)
We appreciate all of you, our guests over the years and have nothing but love for all of you. Thank you for making memories with us and for all the stories we have heard over the years, the memories and the smiles.
It's time for us to actually be able to enjoy others displays for a change. Our founder has been doing displays for over 30 years. Now it's time for others to step up in the community and build your own displays for others to enjoy. Please carry on the tradition.
Thank you for the years of memories. Hopefully someone else can take over the Christmas light displays lists.
Again thank you to everyone for all of your support over the years.
But It's our time now :)
