There are only three ways to get married in Ireland. Secular weddings, officiated by Humanist Celebrants accredited by the Humanist Association of Ireland are non-religious and legally binding, allowing for a personalised ceremony reflecting the couple’s values.Civil weddings are conducted by a registrar in a registry office or approved venue and are legally binding. They can be quite formal with little room for customisation.All other weddings are Religious Weddings. Some religious celebrants may tell you that they can offer a Humanist ceremony but that is not true. They may not have any mention of god or religion in the ceremony, but it is still recorded as religious. Choose a celebrant accredited by the Humanist Association of Ireland if you want a truly unique, deeply personal wedding ceremony that celebrates you in a non-religious context. The death of someone close is a time of sadness and a time to mourn, however a humanist funeral is about celebrating their life. We can tell their story and mark all that was important in their lives, the people, places and events. We can honour their memory in a meaningful way and comfort those who are left behind.The funeral ceremony can be as unique as the person whose life we are celebrating. What a way to finish off 2024! Cody and Sean made their vows yesterday in front of their favourite people in the beautiful Charles Fort in Kinsale yesterday. We had tears, laughs and so much love. What a beautiful couple! I loved every minute of it!❤️Humanist Association of Ireland
