✔️Wednesday, 12/18: OPEN 9AM - 3PM
❌Thursday, 12/19 + Friday, 12/20: CLOSED as we’ll be on-site creating floral magic for a large-scale event.
*If you’ve already placed an order for 12/19 or 12/20, rest assured it will be fulfilled as planned. If you’d like to place a new order for those dates, we’re happy to accommodate, but please note it will be Store Pickup Only*

We’ll be taking take a much-needed winter break from December 24 - January 6, so our team can rest and recharge before diving into the new year.

It was a cozy and festive night for our Holiday Terrarium Workshop! DFC Team Member Jess did a fantastic job leading our guests through a fun process to bring their holiday creations to life! ♥️
It was such a joy to welcome so many friends into our home, and we are so grateful to Andrea at for graciously opening her space up for our creativity to spill out of our doors.

Hey Flower Friends! Just a reminder that we will not be in the shop this Thursday and Friday this week. Your outpouring of supplies for our friends in WNC has been remarkable and we will be heading up this afternoon to start delivering them. Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it. You guys are the best ♥️
Even though we won't be in the shop, our cooler will have a few grab and go selections for you! Also, come see Andrea at Dwell Home Supply and shop her beautiful selection of Asheville based East Fork Pottery. All profits from her East Fork sales go right back to WNC ♥️
We'll be back in the shop next week and we'll provide details on our next initiative to continue helping our beautiful WNC ♥️

Hey Flower Friends, Karen here. I’m usually fairly good with words, especially written ones, but the past 72 hours have left me at a loss for the right thing to say; the most helpful thing to say. Our communities in Western NC are hurting and need us. So, all I can really think to say is let’s get to work. Outreach is a core value of DFC, and we are working on several support plans to help our WNC neighbors, beginning this week and stretching through the holidays and beyond. Let’s chat about what we are doing this week and how we would love your support:
Our shop will be closed this Thursday and Friday, (October 3rd & 4th). Jeff and I have local ties to the small communities of Nebo and Marion in McDowell County and are planning to bring needed supplies to a local church in the area that is coordinating relief efforts. We love these towns and the people and businesses that make them special. If you feel moved to do so, we are collecting the following items:
Water (any and all quantities)
Baby Formula/Baby Food
Diapers (any sizes)
You can bring them by our shop located inside the beautiful Dwell Home Supply at 432 South Main Street in Davidson. We’ll be there Tuesday and Wednesday this week from 9AM-3PM. Any and all donations will go directly to these communities and are so greatly appreciated.
Stay tuned for an announcement next week about further efforts to support our beloved WNC communities. Thank you so much ♥️

FLOWERS ON A MISSION
Thank you so much for dropping by our site. The Davidson Flower Company is a business that has been a long time coming for me. I lived in New York for several years and worked for a time in the event planning industry on the Upper East Side. I was able to work within the many sides of the industry and apprentice under our agency's owner on several large scale weddings and events throughout the New York area. As I gained more experience in the event planning industry, I was really being drawn towards the floral design aspect of events. I found myself wandering down to 28th Street to the Flower District many weekends to buy flowers to make arrangements for friends. And after having the privilege of watching installations from many of the top wedding floral designers in the city, a creative idea was starting to bloom.
After moving back home to North Carolina and starting a family, my desire to open my own floral design company grew greater. The Davidson Flower Company is a "farmer-florist" design business that specializes in a lush, ethereal, "farm to vase" aesthetic and utilizes many flowers from our large backyard cutting garden when it's in season. I completed a 6 week workshop with Floret, a popular flower farm located in Washington state, focusing on growing heirloom flower varieties in our micro-mini flower farm setting. Due to the small scale of my cutting garden, I am not able to solely provide all of the blooms and greenery that I will need for my clients, so I'm proud to partner with and support other area flower farmers and local wholesalers to help fulfill orders.

5. Classes and Garden Consulting
6. Sympathy and Funeral Flowers
An important note about The Davidson Flower Company, is that we are structured under a "Profit for Purpose" business model. We make a commitment where 10% of our revenue from each sale will be split equally and donated to 3 charities in our local area: The Ada Jenkins Center, Bags of Hope, and Urban Ministry's Room in the Inn. Our hope and goal is to show people that the most beautiful thing about flowers is not necessarily in their appearance or sweet smell, but rather in the lasting social justice impact they can have long after they have wilted. With each order a client places, they know that a certain percentage of their purchase goes directly towards helping these charities fulfill their greatest needs.
We are so thrilled to set up our home studio in Davidson and we have been blown away by the outpouring of love and encouragement we have already received from so many of you. We are huge believers in the saying, "you only get out of your community what you're willing to put in." And Davidson, we are all in! Coming in Spring 2021, we are excited to expand into a new Flower Farm where we can better serve our community. We hope to bloom right where we have planted and make the biggest impact possible in our sweet little town!
