It may be October but Pride never dies! That’s right, HOT FLASH, a le***an q***r event for our 30+ community, is excited to host our first ever event in Palm Springs for PRIDE weekend at the beautiful Arrive Hotel on Saturday, November 2nd from 2pm - 8pm! The majority of Pride events in Palm Springs are geared towards gay men, so we’re excited to be offering a place for le***ans and q***rs to gather, connect, dance, swim, and celebrate their Pride in a fun and inclusive environment just for our community. Our gorgeous venue includes plenty of seating, delicious drinks and bites, a massive pool and hot tub, and lots of fire pits to get cozy by once the sun goes down. With beats by and ! Great Scott!! Did we have the best night ever of traveling through time or what!? Thanks all for coming out to an epic Dykin’ through the Decades! It has been brought to our attention that at the last Hidden Hearts, a trans man who was attending the event was unfortunately asked to leave based on assumptions about his gender identity. At the time of the event, Damn Good D**e Nights organizers were not informed of the issue and were unable to step in and prevent further escalation.
We want to remind folks that DGDN events are geared towards le***ans and q***rs, that includes trans men, trans women, and nonbinary individuals. It is never okay to assume folk’s genders, and any TERF behavior will not be tolerated or accepted.
We apologize to the individual who experienced this traumatic event, and we can only hope that this will never happen again. If you feel there is unacceptable behavior, or you feel unsafe at an event, please come directly to the DGDN organizer at the time to report it. We will do our best to ensure a safe and inclusive response for those involved. The comments have been turned off as this topic is not up for discussion, and we would like to respect the privacy of those involved in the situation. Thank you and we appreciate your ongoing support. 💜

Our first Hot Flash at the new luscious was a smashing success! Thanks all for coming out on the earlier side for this one, we loved that folks could eat dinner and schmooze before turning the place into a full on dance party— until 11pm that is 😂 Shout out to our DJs , and for playing all the hits, for offering tarot, and for working the door đŸ«¶đŸŒ. My Story

Anna Goodman is a born connector. She moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 2011, and has not stopped meeting new people and making new friend since.

There were some rough times in the beginning years, including multiple failed productions jobs, that time she worked at the male massage place, and of course the coffee shop barista days. But in 2015, Anna found her footing.

It all started with a fundraising event called Single De Mayo. The organization JQ International hired Anna’s friend and le***an promoter/ DJ extraordinaire, Morgan Hildebrand to run the event. Morgan reached out to Anna to come on board and assist, and long story short, it was a major success. JQ’s Executive Director noticed Anna at the event and saw major potential in her. She was then hired as Director of Programming for JQ in September, 2015.

Since then, Anna has brought some of LA’s top LGBTQ+ community and charity events to fruition. A part from her position at JQ, Anna also worked as the LA city events manager for the HER app from August 2016 - December 2018, and has also assisted with multiple le***an and q***r events in LA since, including Milk Milk Lemonade LA, B.O.Y. LA, Mothership Festival, Lezathlon, and Everybody Gogo. Her planning prowess and need to continue creating community led her to start Open D**e Night in June 2019, a monthly le***an/ q***r piano bar event taking place every third Tuesday of the month at Tramp Stamp Grannies in Hollywood.
