Growing up I shared a room with my sister, Katelyn. I give her a lot of credit for the person and DJ I am today. When I was 9 years old, she got her license and was stuck with me a lot. I remember driving around with her listening to bands like Mest and Mad Caddies. Katelyn was also the one to give me the nickname 'Monster'. She turned me on to bands like Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, Mot
ion City Soundtrack, Jimmie's Chicken Shack and Alkaline Trio. She took me to Bamboozle and Warped Tour and every show in between. Years later, she joined the military and while in basic training sent home Miranda Lambert's Kerosene and I fell in love with a genre I was never able to understand. My first semester at Brookdale Community College I got really involved in Brookdale Student Radio, the birth place of Monster's Mix. After becoming President for BSR, 90.5 The Night took a chance on me and gave me a job. That's when I truly fell in love with radio. The Night is known for playing a little bit of everything. When I'm on air, you can expect a whole lot of local music as well as everyone from Sheryl Crow to Johnny Cash, Jamestown Revival to the Dirty Heads, Grateful Dead to The Kooks, and Rayland Baxter to Sublime.
