In a step towards greater food sovereignty and climate-friendly agriculture, the US is dedicating $100 million to the promotion of seed diversity and indigenous African crops over the corn and soy pushed by US foreign policy in the 1960s and 70s:

The U.S. global food security envoy is pushing to bring back traditional African crops that American policies helped to sideline.
