Here’s progress of the Zelda props I didn’t finish for MCM! I had to prioritise commissions work and life, but I’m so glad I didn’t rush these!
Sometimes it sucks but it’s better to delay something and do a better job of it, than rush and need to make it again or spent more time repairing damage.

The sword is the ‘Royal broadsword’ I kinda speed built, but works! It needs some touch ups and fixes here & there~
The Hylian shield needs some sanding and it’s handles to be attached, the Shieka slate additionally needs fill & sanding to smooth it!
Hopefully after my work is done I can finish :)

I used .props CF100 foam, foam clay & Hex Flex clear primer! 👌

Yuri Plisetsky 'Allegro' inspired skater dress commission!
This was so much fun to work on and it was lovely to make a skater dress inspired by this costume, it's one of my favorites!
I'm slowly but surely pushing out remaining commissions, I'd like to thank everybody for their patience and kindness during this time!
I have a second job during COVID so I only have three days of the week in which to sew / craft, thank you for bearing with me during this and I am more than happy to give an update should you need anything!

I still have a few to go, but once I finish these remaining commissions, I will be taking a short break for myself to give myself a 'breather' and not burn myself out. I will re-open them again afterwards :)

It's snowing around here recently! I haven't seen snow this heavy in a while, it was nice to go out and get some air (since we're still locked inside), I also took advantage and got some Cosplay photos in it!
I did a similar shoot 3 years ago, it's amazing to see how much improvement there is! :)

Apologies for lack of content, I've just been incredibly busy with work and other things during the lockdown period, I hope everybody is keeping safe and well! 👏❤

Happy New Year's Eve!
Here's a photo of our favorite Gelfling Song Teller & broth king Kylan~ I took this photo in April but never got around to sharing it :)
2020 is nearly coming to an end, and man, what an absolute rollercoaster of a year. This year did not at all go the way we planned, but we still did our best and did whatever we could to make ends meet, I want to thank everybody for your continued support and patience during this time, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
I plan to pick myself up with lots of new changes in 2021 and really push to create more content to share with you guys!
I miss seeing family members, loved ones, friends, going outside, conventions, etc, all that good stuff, but the important thing is making sure everyone is safe and well until this time passes, it's difficult but we will get through it together 💪

Here’s a closer look at the leather scabbard for my Rian costume! This is what held my sword in place when I wasn’t holding it, I’d love to gradually make more things from leather!

Make up Monday~ I took a small break and tried something a little out of my comfort zone! I found this one tricky because it’s pretty basic but also soft? If I worded that right :’) there was an attempt at lookin angry in the second shot 👏

I think we all need Fizzgig cuddles after the recent news broke that The Dark Crystal: AoR was cancelled.
I am absolutely devastated, it was an incredible series, we could finally explore more of Thra & it’s creatures, learn about the clans, learn it’s history, etc.
I met so many wonderful people & made many new friends, it was also an honour to meet the puppeteers, crew members, voice actors and artists in person back in February, I want to thank every single person involved for making such a masterpiece. I wish nothing but the best and good things for you!
The future is an open book, you never know where the journey will take you 💜

I’ve been in love with this franchise since I was a child, it will always have a special place in my heart 💜
I won’t stop making costumes or props, this series is one that helped give me the drive not to give up and I can’t thank everyone enough ✨

This one is probably the biggest glow up yet for me, I was kindly asked to take part in a Naruto pass the brush, I hadn’t cosplay’d Gaara since 2009, so it was wonderful to revisit!

Portfolio shots of my finished Rage Of Bahamut Viktor costume, I can’t wait to work on another project like this in the future! A variety of techniques including sculpting, casting, electronics and more were put into this costume!

Thank you so much everyone for bearing with me during this time

I honestly can't find any words in the english language to describe how i'm feeling right now.
Last night, 9th Sept shortly after 7:00pm, Georgi passed away.
I didn't just lose a pet, but also my therapy animal and best friend, I rescued, nurtured and full time cared for him with his medications after his unfortunate diagnosis last year. To say I am devastated would be an understatement.

I knew this day would be coming, I just didn't expect it to be now, I thought he was going to perk up after I brought him home, he was eating and drinking normally, wanting to see what's going on, etc. But his health rapidly began to deteriorate that same day, I held him and put him on my lap, but he went totally limp.
I called the vet, jumped in my car and immediately took him in. They put him on drips, checked his kidney levels, but it got so bad their machines couldn't even register how high his condition was.
I held his paw and he rested his head in my hand, I could see in it in his eyes at that point, I'm glad I could spend time with him and say goodbye.
He was so incredibly lively, chatty and such a good bean ❤️ absolutely full of life, it's just very unfortunate his time was cut short.
If I haven't seen or replied to your message yet, I'm so sorry and I will soon! I'm going to take another day or so to chill, get my head straight, and properly grieve.

Be kind to each other and treasure every day, life is precious.

This is probably the biggest character glow up out of all the costumes I've made, and I also wanted to share it with you guys as it's a great example of seeing how much you can grow and learn!
I was asked to participate in an awesome Naruto pass the brush challenge, this is the first time in so long that I'd cosplay'd Gaara, there is an 11 year difference between the photo on the left and the one on the right, I was 16-17 back then. That is also the first costume I ever made completely by hand from scratch, fully lined and finished, and it still fits me even now as I wore it for the video!
Yes, I shaved my eyebrows off for this (there are ways to cover them! This was just my preference), that is a temporary printed tattoo glued to my forehead, and I had coloured mesh contact lenses.
When I took that 2009 photo, I didn't know how to cover eyebrows properly, I free handed the symbol and made many failed attempts at it, and I didn't know how to put in contact lenses at all, these were all things I learnt over time!

Back then, I remember thinking ''I won't be as good as ____" or "I want to be able to do this but I can't" or similar, never put yourself down, you'll be suprised at what you can do and you learn through each new project you make. I worked hard constantly and approached new projects with an open mind, even material I was anxious to use such a 3D printing, once you get over that first hurdle, it's really not bad, and your confidence will increase the more you practice!
If you make a mistake, that's okay, everybody does, but don't let one mistake stop you from becoming what you want to be :) I've grown a lot as an Fx artist and I'm still learning now, always making new mistakes and learning what to do to fix them!
We all start somewhere, we all start small and we grow not only as artists but also as people, we have new experiences and we're always learning, share what you learn with others, don't give up and keep on crafting!

Man puberty hit me like a truck though :')

More Cosplay Vs Character! Devilman Crybaby edition
Hey guys! How are you doing? Apologies for lack of updates, I've been crazy busy with some big commission pieces, but here's some content from a while ago~

Devilman is one of my absolute favorite series
This make up took me way longer than it should have done, I even made a prosthetic chin piece for this (to help achieve his jawline that could slice bread as well as shape) and super happy how it blended out for this!
I sculpted the chin piece on a head cast of mine, and from there cast it in encapsulated silicone gel 00
Teeth are a quick set of fangs made from polymorph
The wig is made from a recycled wig I originally used for him over two years ago now and I have an upcoming tutorial soon!

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Cloud Wig Tutorial

Gelfling Materials! ~

What are some materials you guys like working with? :) I love to try different things and try new methods! For Rian, I'm working with a variety of materials, including real leathers, suedes, loosely woven & textured fabrics, cottons, etc. I was even incredibly lucky enough to get hold of the same leathers and fabrics that were used to create the actual Gelfling puppets in the upcoming series! I'm so shook! ;A; It'll be an interesting sewing experience that I'm excited to work on! I've been gathering these materials over the last few months, I've finished drafting his patterns, I'll be working on him in any spare time I get between commissions, aiming to be finished by October :)

Cleaning time~

Late night mopping! Important to keep the workshop clean for incoming projects and commissions :) Power working through more masks to get them sent out and catch up any late orders! So sorry for any delay guys ~ life has been bananas but I'm working through everything best I can and I'm more than happy to help! Shoot me a message anytime <3 I'm mentally feeling a lot better within myself and also psyically feeling better, I feel I can push and get back on track again. I'm very excited to share new work in progress and commissions with you guys! :)

Quick video footage! Sorry it’s a bit dark, you can see the smaller details & little jingly bells here 🙂 I wanted to go more traditional & sew this piece ^^ (I found an old baby photo of me with eastern europe santa & snow maiden I used as additional reference aha) Such a comfy winter cosplay! :)

Here's a quick little demo video showing how the orb lights up on my staff & what the brightness is like in a dark room. The switch is hidden inside the top section of the staff with a small hole for the button so I can turn it on & off when I need to :) I fixed all the LEDs inside, so its all working properly ^.^ really happy with the result! ~
