Tomorrow is a very special anniversary for Candy and I! Marking 4 years of being married, and 10 years since the day we met. It was July 27th of 2014 when you approached me at Denver’s annual gothic picnic. It was a simple encounter that eventually brought us to where we are now, and can you believe we made it this far? To celebrate, we’re going on vacation tomorrow to Teton Valley, where we will be experiencing Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, and more. Yesterday I turned 31. Last year when I turned 30, most people told me that your 30s are the best years of your life, and I honestly believe it so far.

I’ve accomplished so much in the last year from promoting my first concert for a touring band, the most refined arcane vampire ball, the record breaking attendance of the gothic takeover at lakeside, my first sold out event recently, and also coming up to the 5 year anniversary of my DJ residency at Tracks 🖤

31 also means I’ve been dreaming big and working hard for about 16 years to get here.

I have a lot of emotions right now, but the most important one is gratefulness. Grateful to be l surrounded by so much love, and grateful to be thriving at this age. 🖤

Happy World Goth Day, everyone! Look at this amazing glow up. The left picture is me from when I was 15, and the photo to the right is from just last month. I know that Babybat me would be so very proud, and I feel truly lucky that this scene helped me find meaning to my life. I went from being a lonely autistic kid who spent his childhood playing video games, getting harassed/picked on mercilessly from grades 8 to 10, groomed and emotionally abused by a man twice my age in my late teens and early twenties… To becoming a successful DJ, event producer, and homeowner.

During my first year getting into the scene, I felt this love for the music that I had not felt with any other music from before, and that is what inspired me to become a DJ. Then seeing how there were club nights and themed events where the scene congregates to have fun and enjoy the music, is what inspired me to become a promoter and event producer. Seeing how my events and DJing brings so many of us together is such an incredible feeling! I can remember times where I felt like accomplishing my dreams couldn’t happen to me. But it did happen, and I am legitimately living the dream I had when I was a teenager.

The only people who are gonna say you can’t accomplish something are the ones who failed. Never listen to the nay sayers, because if you want to accomplish something so badly, and you think positively about it, then you will naturally work hard enough to the point where you eventually become it.

I’m not gonna say you can’t accomplish anything, because I did it, and you can do it too. Even as an individual who is not afraid to be themselves 🖤
