Such a gorgeous maternity session of this
sweet couple as they become a family of 3. I took these picture on their stunning property that they share with their best friends/neighbors who happen to be welcoming their little boy’s best friend 2 months later. Oh what adventure these 2 will have exploring 40 acres of fun together!

It's been. while since I have done a senior session and now I remember how fun they can be! I was so excited when Olivia asked me to capture hers because she always lets me be a creative as I want!

As a farmer's wife, I can tell you the weather has been great for cotton. Some years, the cotton only has a bottom crop and it doesn't appear as "full" to the eye making it not a great backdrop for photos. But this year, the dry and hot weather has been perfect to make the fields appear as a "floating white cloud".

They are currenlty harvesting cotton so the fields won't last much longer. That is why I wait until the last minute to offer these sessions and at a discounted rate.

On my way to church yesterday, driving the back roads through cotton fields, I realized it has been a while since I have offered cotton field sessions. It’s easy to see how beautiful the cotton is when the morning and afternoon sun shines through it and hard to resist not wanting to take pictures in it.

I’m pretty late to the game to offer these and because they are so last minute, I am offering them for this upcoming weekend for a reduced price.

Amari spent the summer here in Arkansas with Hayden’s family. He wanted her to love it here as much as he does. And it was a plus that she picked up a love for fishing while she was here! They ended the summer with a proposal before heading back to Kentucky to start planning their wedding here next May.

I am hosting an intimate wedding styled shoot at Hidden Cypress on November 2, 2024. The transferable fee is $150

The shoot will be in a relaxed, natural enviroment that captures all the details of a backyard and intimate wedding.

Areas that will be set up include: wedding ceremony, wedding reception, bride and groom, bride and bridesmaids, as well as all the intimate details that are included in an intimate wedding. What a neat story!

A Jewish family named Karnofsky, who immigrated from Lithuania to the United States, took pity on the 7-year-old boy and brought him to their home.

There he stayed and spent the night in this Jewish family home, where for the first time in his life he was treated with kindness and tenderness.

When he went to bed, Mrs. Karnofski sang him Russian lullabies, which he sang with her.

Later he learned to sing and play several Russian and Jewish songs.
Over time, this boy became the adopted son of this family.

Mr. Karnofsky gave him money to buy his first musical instrument, as was the custom in Jewish families.

Later, when he became a professional musician and composer, he used these Jewish melodies in compositions such as St. James's Hospital and Go Down Moses.

The little boy grew up and wrote a book about this Jewish family, who adopted him in 1907.

In memory of this family and until the end of his life, he wore the Star of David and said that in this family he learned "how to live a real life and self-determination."

This little boy's name was Louis Armstrong. This little boy was called Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong. Louis Armstrong proudly spoke fluent Yiddish and “Satchmo” is Yiddish for “big cheeks, a nickname some say was given to him by Mrs. Karnofsky!
