JEN-DRE’S originated from the names of the owner’s children; JEN from Jeni Rose and Jenelle Rose, and DRE from Andre’ Ross. Paul College, had her first hand cooking and canteen management experiences from her mother, Rosalinda Martinez Lusanea, who was a cooking expert herself. Her knowledge in the food service operations was enriched through actual culinary seminars and managerial training prog
rams. JEN-DRE’S has been with the Food Service Industry since 1990. The business started out through neighborhood selling. Through word of mouth, orders started to pour in and the owner decided to put up a small canteen that provided meals and served as outlet for food orders as well. Jen-Dre’s then ventured into the catering business segment with extended services for all kinds of parties and group gatherings such as workshops, trainings, seminars, birthdays, weddings,and other functions. The company decided to branch out by attending bidding invitations from government and private establishments, through which it had been the canteen concessionaire to the following institutions:
Philippine High School for the Arts at the National Arts Center, Mt Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna, from January 2000 to December 2001, where they provided food services to 150 persons for three meals daily. During this period, Jen-dre’s had reservations from guests, local and foreign among which are from the Asian Children’s Arts Festival, having served a variety of meals for 300 guests from all over Asia, September 22-27, 2001. They have also catered for the French Embassy guests last April 2-11, 2001 at the same venue. Department of Interior and Local Government, Local Government Academy Training Center in UP College, Laguna, from January 2001 to March 2002 where they rendered services for DILG-sponsored seminars/conferences for five meals a day. Forest Products Research and Development Institute, under the Department of Science and Technology, in UP College, Laguna, from August 2003 to June 2006, providing meals to its employees and guests on work days and during conferences, seminars, trainings and workshops. Morning Star Montessori School, Inc. Putho, Tuntungin, Los Banos, Laguna from 2006-2010, servicing canteen needs of the students, teachers and staff. Department of Interior and Local Government, Local Government Academy Training Center, UP College, Laguna from December, 2010 to present, extending food services to government, government-sponsored, and private in-house seminars, conferences and workshops. Westbrook Dorm Canteen, June, 2013 to date, providing meals for students at Westbrook Dorm, located within the UP Los Banos Campus. Suzuki Philippines, Inc.Canteen, Carmelray,Canlubang, Laguna, August, 2015 to date, rendering canteen needs (breakfast -dinner) to 400 employees, Mondays-Saturdays. Aside from being concessionaire to the above institutions, JEN-DRE’S at the same time also accepts outside catering functions. It has always been the aim of JEN-DRE’S Catering Services to offer great food and quality service at affordable costs. As canteen concessionaire, it develops programs on management based on customer-oriented information to meet demands or needs of each group of clientele. Jen-Dre’s aims to live up to its mission statement – “Great food, quality service, at the right price.”
