Emvy is born.
Having spent holidays recording my friends and I being drunken messes, or my girlfriend jumping off cliffs, with a camera on ‘Auto’ for every possible setting, before shabbily editing them all together using tools I didn’t understand, it’s fair to say I have always enjoyed putting together movies for the pleasure of my loved ones (e.g. https://youtu.be/qGhDYKHeeAM) .
I have worked for Amazon Video since 2015, which means I spend a fair bit of time with video designers and creators. Through this, I realised it was time to get serious about my passion and make some incredible, highly professional videos that I could be truly proud of. I knuckled down and began learning all about camera settings, video editing software and how to make my content look amazing. The past few months have been a journey of experimentation and constantly deleting work which doesn’t meet the level I expect of myself; let’s hope the reward is worth it. I’ve started with a pretty small portfolio for now; we all start somewhere.
