The 'Headgate Studio Sessions' - an evening of high quality music in an intimate , friendly setting at the home of amateur theatre in Colchester. We hold our event every 3 months or so, usually (but not always) on the last Sunday of the 3rd month. Our mission is to find the best musical talent around and we usually have 3-4 bands each evening - we aim to showcase a variety of musical styles with i
nnovation and experimentation being actively encouraged. Think 'Later With Jools Holland' meets Radio 1s 'Live Lounge'......
There is a bar and real ale (at very affordable prices). We usually have seating (to create a blues cafe type feel) but on occasions this is removed completely to allow for full dancing movements. It is with regret that we have to increase ticket prices to £7.50 - partly due to the limited number of tickets available (although, on the plus side, that is also what helps to create a special atmosphere) - anyway, it's only once every 3 months so that's only £2.50 per month!
