For the adventurous couple who wants to feel like they’ve entered their own uninhabited woodland. Take a two minute walk in the woods to a stone outcropping or the flatter ground below. ❤️

The Clearing
The nature vibe with the changing leaves and the setting Sun (or even the moon and a trillion stars) but with less wilderness!

Our Story.....

My husband and I set out twice to get married. Twice. For real. Why?

The first time around we opted for a big, traditional wedding. And what happened?

We got overwhelmed with vendors, guests lists and details. There were endless offerings of photographers, venues, bands, DJs, and bakeries. The guest list grew quickly to over 150 and nothing that would be needed would come cheap. It wasn’t that we were planning a lavish wedding. Far from it. I wanted something with a very “we’re all family” feel to it. No pomp, no stuffy sit-down dinner reception and hour long wedding party processional. We were only planning what we thought would be a simple wedding. An outdoor ceremony with a buffet style dinner, no seating plan, outdoor games and music and a bonfire. It turned out not to be so simple...... to the point that we decided to wait.

Fast forward a year, we were discussing vacation and decided to elope. Best decision we ever made! We clued in our closet friends and family members and headed to Tennessee. We spent four days before the wedding riding go-carts, touring Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in a side by side and generally having a ball with our kids. The morning of the wedding, I slipped out before anyone else was awake and took my one bridesmaid and my coffee with me to prepare. We picked up some last minute things, got some breakfast and then went to my aunt’s cabin to get ready. A few hours later, my son walked me down the aisle to say I Do surrounded by 25 our closest loved ones.
