Terms and Conditions for Orders
General Information
1. This is calculated as 50% of the total order cost/quote for the cake order placed. The remainder balance is due in full either a) paid directly into bank account and cleared two days prior to deliver, or b) paid in cash on delivery. Due to demand, we require the deposit to secure your requested date and to cover for costs incurred by us for products relating to your cake.
2. Changes to cake designs can be made up, however are restricted to the following conditions;
a. Wedding, Engagement, 21st, 18th & 16th Birthday cake changes may be made up to 2 weeks prior to the event. General Birthday cake changes may be made up to 1 week prior to the event. Depending on the changes, further costs may be incurred by you (client). You may cancel your order at any time, however the following conditions apply. Wedding, Engagement, 21st, 18th, 16th Birthday cake orders require three full months prior to the event to secure a full refund of the deposit paid. Orders cancelled after this time (less than 3 months prior to the event) will forfeit the deposit paid. General birthday cake orders require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice prior to the event to secure a full refund of the deposit paid. Orders cancelled after this time (less than 2 weeks prior to the event) will forfeit the deposit paid. Where cakes have been paid in full, and the cancellation has occurred following the cancellation terms listed above, the client (you) will receive the paid deposit back and the remainder amount as a voucher to contribute to a cake order for a later date, this can be used at any time for a period of twelve (12) months from the cancellation date. Special circumstances – While we understand orders can be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be at the discretion of the owners of the SHED - cake and cookies as to how to best refund & accommodate the client (you) needs. All stands can be used complementary with cake orders. The following deposit is required depending on the type of stand and is refunded via bank transfer once the stand has been returned in the same condition it was initially hired as. Failing to return stands/boards will see the client (you) forfeit your deposit. Stands/Boards must be returned 48 hours after the event by the client (you). Damaged Cakes.
1. Collected cake orders. Once you have collected your cake order, all liability becomes the responsibility of the client (you).
2. Delivered cake orders. Once your cake has been delivered to the destination, the liability of the cake then becomes the responsibility of the client (you) and/or the venue. All cakes are photographed prior to collection/delivery, or if assembled at the venue, a photograph of the cake is taken at the venue. This photograph is then sent to the client (you) to ensure the client (you) is fully aware of the condition of the cake. Confirmation of agreeing to Terms and Conditions. Where by orders a placed via social media sites and emails a copy of these Terms and Conditions are sent to the client. If the client agrees and uses terminology such as “great, we will order”, “can we go ahead”, etc and alike, and the client has paid the deposit, it is deemed the client has understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions as listed above.
