On one of our panel days, dozens of Indigenous peoples of the north joined the chorus of voices across the Pacific and beyond to say no to deep sea mining before it begins.
We need to stop this extractive, polluting industry that poses serious risks to marine life and to human rights.

Today is another land based day.
For those folks who are curious about where to be, we are pleased to invite you on a guided tour at the North Pacific Cannery and Museum, led by Dinï ze' Na'moks. The tour will begin around 11:30am.

We are also excited to have Ts’msyan artist, Ed Bryant, join us at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre for art lessons starting at 10am. The Civic will also have a light breakfast offered for those sticking around town.

✨UPDATE: SPOTS ARE FILLED✨
The Peace and Unity Summit is calling local youth to take part in a Photography Mentorship with Troy Moth and Phil Cornwall from July 12-15 on the Unceded Territory of the 9 Allied Tribes (Prince Rupert).
You can look forward to learning more about story-telling and portraiture from the lens of a digital camera. All camera related gear will be provided. We hope to share final works with exhibitions across Northern BC.

*We are looking for 5 more youth to join in, and cannot guarantee all who reach out will have a spot.
