I’m so honored and excited to announce that I have been invited back to speak at SHUTTERFEST! This certainly was the news I needed today as I have been feeling so unwell for weeks. For those that have been following me for some time, you know that I almost died from pulmonary embolisms (blood clots) in my lungs and heart arteries when I was on a flight coming back from Las Vegas after speaking for Nikon. For the last 5 years I have been under close care of a hematologist, pulmonologist and cardiologist taking 3 meds to keep my heart strong and clots from recurring. Two of my medications were making me sick in the recent months (the beta blockers) and after several tests - my team of doctors allowed me to stop those medicines. So for 8 weeks I had the dose lowered until I was completely off. Well, I was told this would help with the withdrawal and side effects of my body readjusting to being off a long term med but that has been far from the truth. Since the end of April - I have been barely getting through my days. Basically, I’m in a terrible withdrawal cycle. Every day, my heart races, I sweat then I am cold, I have terrible migraines, nausea, sleepless nights, puking, muscle aches, dizziness, anxiety, a weird tremor feeling in my head and depression. All while still shooting weddings, engagements, surprise proposals, teaching at conferences, speaking at a close friend’s funeral, attending graduations, preparing to take my state real estate exam and taking care of the baby. I was informed it may take up to 6 months before my body readjusts post beta blockers and I have found a great support group; but this has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through besides the blood clots. I pretty much feel like I have the flu times 10 every day of my life. I share this to let you all know that you can never know what someone is going through so try your best to be understanding and kind. My family has been so amazing and patient with me thankfully. Like today, they just let me lay in bed all day. I really needed that ♥️

Spread love everywhere you go and if you go anywhere, go to and see tropical beauty in the rarest form. I was stunned at the pristine gardens and numerous locations to shoot. I can’t wait to go back again this summer 📸🌴

She asked me where we could go for snow, I told her The Poconos was best. So we drove up to north Pennsylvania, put on as many layers as possible and grabbed our gear. They made it look impeccable despite the cold ♥️❄️

Cassandra was absolute perfection on her wedding day and started my weekend with the sweetest texts once we delivered her entire wedding gallery. We’ve been delivering our clients’ galleries an entire MONTH ahead of schedule and it’s been such a joy to surprise them when they are least expecting it! If I can give new photographers any advice it would be to under promise and over deliver always 💕

Clark’s Landing has been voted one of the top New Jersey wedding venues year after year and we never take it lightly that they have only chosen a few of us to recommend to their couples. My team and I have shot 100’s of weddings on their docks and have several 2024 couples to add to that list. We are thankful for our and all of the couples who trust us to spend this magical day with them.

2024 will be 16 years of shooting weddings for me and 15 years for my team. As this year ends I realize that this was the year I was able to let go of hurt from previous photographer friends who only used me for knowledge, previous photographer employees who only worked with me to learn then go do their own thing and previous photographer “acquaintances” who only came around me cause of who I knew in this industry. This was the first year I stayed to myself a lot more, left alot of groups on Facebook and stopped following people out of guilt. I have been protecting my peace and mental health 100%.

With that being said, I have been cleaning up my follow list on here and who really follows me with good intentions. I’m removing anyone who does not have an active post from 2023 or does not add value to my content. No hard feelings, I just want to engage with the right audience for my page.

I wish you all nothing but success and happiness in your life or business as well.

Has anyone attempted to clean up their Instagram account and get rid of bots, ghost accounts and spam accounts? I was looking into a few aps that do this but they all have such bad reviews and I don’t want anything to happen to my own account if I feed my log in information somewhere. Just curious if anyone has attempted to do this, been successful and what ap did you use because I would really love to get rid of followers that don’t engage with my posts.

Question for you all - if you were trying to do something and you weren’t successful at it - would you continue to keep trying to do it or give up? If you were to succeed it would be the most amazing thing in your life. But if you fail; you will have wasted your time trying.

A new thing my company has been doing for our couples is content creation. They literally wake up the next morning with 100’s of behind the scenes moments of their wedding day from start to finish on their phones so they can post to their social media immediately. Pics, videos, tik toks, reels you name it! Times are changing in my industry and this is the newest fad and I’m here for it!

At some point in your life you need to ask yourself if you are truly doing what you love? Do you live each day fulfilled or disappointed? Although I have my Master’s Degree and was a teacher at one point, I hated this for my career choice. I decided my heart was somewhere else and I chose to pivot and follow my dreams. I was scared, I was unsure of many things and I had no one to guide me through this life changing process. Hence mistakes were made, friendships affected and peace of mind vacant; but it was an amazing learning experience because that small amount of disarray lead to a large amount of success. Follow your dreams and never look back friends.
