I catch my breath.
There is something so endearing about the way they hold themselves so tightly in a fist.
I don't know if they know their loveliness or perhaps they do.
I wonder, do they fear their brief opening?

This give and take, a moment of beauty - unwrapping these small fists,
is still worth the hardest goodbye.
