Yesterday I visited the Curve exhibition this incredible collection of work showcases the work of female First Nation carvers from BC. Not only is the exhibition incredibly beautiful, the comments from the artists resonated with me as someone else who also creates using natural materials.

One thing all the Carvers spoke of was how the materials you work with choose their form and will create their own story, the same was true of Allie’s bouquet.

Allie is also an artist and creative. Being given freedom to see where the flowers took this design was an adventure and seeing it with her on her wedding day makes me SO HAPPY ♥️ Thank you Allie x

This image belongs on the cover of a perfectly worn vinyl sleeve that's been played a thousand times. The light, Pete, Mt Tzil and the colour palette of the florals, it screams some of my favourite things- dusty country roads, vintage Ford Rangers and wind rustling through meadows. Also, if we can all give a collective yeehaw for pocket square florals because these little fellas are enjoying a moment in time and so they should.

If I told you that it was golden hour all day you probably wouldn’t believe me, but it really was. We are in that absolute sweet spot, when the haze hangs in the Valley all day and the sun sits low in the sky. It’s starting to feel like we might be transitioning into Autumn but the flowers are at their absolute summer best and it’s just perfect. Kate & Pete you chose such a great day to get married!

So many fond memories of this wedding day. Scrolling through the gallery today and being taken back in time to what felt like the hottest day of the year. Still really pleased with the creativity of the ‘beautifully weird’ designs and forever grateful to Reilly for letting my creative mind run wild.

🫢Surprise - Antique Hydrangea! Finding these in June took some searching, but Reilly the look on your face when you realized they were part of your ceremony was priceless. So happy we found them for you (and that we got to design with these jumbo beauties too!).

✨️SQUEAL, SO EXCITED ✨️- Just received preview images from R&H's beautiful June wedding and They. Are. Jaw. Dropping. ❤️

On your wedding day, rather than trying to get insta worthy imagery you are more likely to find me crawling on the floor/up a ladder/carrying buckets/moving from one site to another like a hummingbird. I rarely get to see how everything comes together or how you look in among the flowers.

Getting to see your images is something I cherish. Thank you SO MUCH R for sharing 💕 and Emily thank for capturing these beautiful humans so amazingly. Can't wait to share more of this stunning day, stay tuned for more!

It's not everyday you get carte blanche to create, and even more rare that you get to collaborate alongside a drag queen and a talented photographer and stylist. Anyone who knows me in real life knows I ADORE colour, glamour and always appreciate the right kind of kitsch so this shoot was a match made in heaven 🏳️‍🌈☁️💫⁠

Hidden meaning in bridal bouquets. Ever heard of the Language of Flowers? This is the concept that each stem in a design is chosen to have meaning. It lends itself to personal designs, and I often use it for bridal bouquets in particular. Whether it's a sentimental flower in your relationship, to symbolism of lost family members who you wish could be with you on your wedding day or relaxing scents to calm you as you walk down the aisle, its a concept I really encourage couples to explore that will make your designs truly unique to you.
