During our recent Technology Days for Construction and Quarry event at Malaga, our visitors were able to get first-hand experience of a huge amount of technology in different applications.
In the Perfecting your Payload workshop one of the applications demonstrated was how to use 2D Grade on the 336 Excavator to dig a trench more efficiently. Then we switched immediately to Payload to make sure the truck is loaded accurately.

But what is the difference between this mastless system and the previous 3D Grade system?
With the previous system, a 1.8 metre mast was required at either end of the moldboard, which limited the blade's range of motion. Removing the masts now gives the operator maximum productivity with the full range of motion for the moldboard.

It arrived at our Malaga facility brand new, then after 1,000+ hours of operation with our Machine Testing and Endurance team it was transported to a local landfill site owned by one of our customers. It then spent 2,000+ hours operating at the landfill site, before returning to our facility.
The team tested the machine for a further 600 hours of operation after making some adjustments. It then returned to our customer site to finalize the endurance testing process.
