Back again for the second time. Three hours of palmistry, rapidly entertaining groups of three in ten minute slots back to back nonstop. They asked for a photo and I happily obliged in the hope you’d get to see it too 📸
Turban off and heading home (while still mostly in my costume) after a lovely evening performing at an intimate private table amidst the very buzzy vibe upstairs at Aqua Kyoto Oxford Circus.
I normally don’t travel in this dress because it is handmade from gauze and vintage lace and thus completely delicate and irreplaceable, but the only place to change was the ladies’s loo and it was heaving in there with ladies touching up their lipstick. Put away my phone before heading out the front door and out onto Argyll Street. I knew I’d be walking to my waiting cab while holding the ends of the dress up to keep it from being tread on by crowds of drunken passersby outside. Made it quickly to the car and now I’m home happily having a midnight cuppa and planning for the week to come.

Tonight’s changing room, break room, briefing room, cloak room and catering space for food prep! No chairs because the corridor was only slightly wider than the width of an average sized human being. Stored my bags and coat under the ovens behind the mop bucket full of dirty, cold water. Amazing repeat client and the loveliest appreciative guests giving me hugs and kisses throughout the evening made up for this ultra packed in backstage craziness!! Enjoyed sharing the space with talented and easygoing and all the very warm and friendly bar staff!

Loved the energy while entertaining inside Blackfriars Priory, a 13th century monastery skilfully transformed into a modern era event venue. Have you been there? Have you felt the vibe? Old buildings hold an intensity within their bricks that brings deep clarity to my thought process and therefore also to my tarot readings.
At the end of this non-stop noisy evening, I grabbed a few quick photos to capture the size of the space, tall walls and very high ceilings. It was too dark outside to see the entire building but you can scroll to see the outer parts of the inner courtyard that were lit up, and also how it was looking inside.
Earlier, that huge echoey hall was packed with people, the clinking of glasses and so much laughter. Simultaneously, the speakers belted out the likes of Mariah Carey and George Michael for a Christmas celebration in a church, in a modern way that was very different from what was originally intended when the medieval priory was built and chanted in, so many, many hundreds of years ago!
All in a day’s work for me, but even so, being a part of history, in such a place of history, was definitely worth the drive from London!

So, about a year ago, I thought to myself, I’ve never been booked to entertain at The Savoy. And I wondered what I would need to do to be booked there. And then I got pulled into something or other and didn’t think about it again. That was it. In nineteen years of entertaining at high end events across the UK, The Savoy was one of the five star venues where I had not yet performed. C’est la vie.
And then, just a few months later, at the beginning of this last summer, I received a booking for December, and the venue: The Savoy! And since then, over the last six months, I’ve been booked at events based at The Savoy over and over and over again through multiple different companies. I have actually lost count of how many off the top of my head at this point.

20 years ago this month I started this crazy career of mine. November 2003, I was a , working twelve hour shifts on a gynae-oncology ward for the and trying very hard to be a serious, respectable clinician. I hoped to eventually work as a midwife or in palliative care. I didn’t want anyone to know I read cards as a hobby as I worried it would make me look flaky and unprofessional. Destiny intervened when I seemingly randomly met someone who knew someone who needed someone to read cards for an enormous in the . Purely out of curiosity, I went along to see what all the fuss was about, never intending to actually read cards on the night. I didn’t even bring any cards with me, but regardless, I was forever changed by the experience, and never looked back. About a year after that, after much soul searching, and nearly two years into my nursing training, I left the blood and bandages behind.
Combining my strange intuitive talents with therapeutic, theatrical and business experience, I created what has become a global interactive and uplifting experience for well over 30000 people around the world so far - two amazing decades, across all continents and all sectors, my previously clandestine hobby became something rather public!
I’ve been thinking about how to mark this 20 year milestone and then today, I received such wonderful feedback from a lovely lady who booked me back somewhere near the very beginning, telling me:
“Just wanted to let you know that your magic reaches the far ends of this world! Never stop doing what you do 🔮❤️🌟🙏”
So lovely to read those words and such synchronistic timing too! Sometimes I think I might want to go do something else with my life but then I can’t think of anything that is quite as magical and exciting. So, happy 20 year anniversary to me ✨ And here’s to hopefully another 20 years of doing what I was clearly always meant to be doing! ✨🔮✨

I say too much all the time, but it’s appreciated because of how I deliver it with kindness, diplomacy, truth, a dash of cheeky cheek and with my quirky hand tied turban perched atop my head 🔮 I can get away with a lot when people don’t expect that I am the real deal. It wasn’t always like this though. In the years before I became The Fun Fortune Teller (™️!), I used to try to help others by freely sharing the random psychic thoughts that popped into my head. I knew deep inside me that this information would help them, but I would still find myself putting my foot in my mouth because the shocked recipients of my unsolicited deeply personal insights either weren’t ready to hear it or they didn’t want to hear it from me - or both! Go figure! Who knew? Clearly, I was late to the diplomacy game…! Thankfully, over time I learned to use my gift in a way that it is not only keenly received but is also now sought after. I know how get out of the way and let authentic information flow through me so it is delivered to the eager recipient with the unique words that make sense to them. I hold back and gauge whether they understand what I’m saying and whether it is making them happy, before sharing more. When delivered this way, the information that they know they needed to hear sinks in and leaves them feeling pleasantly surprised, amused and inspired!
