In relation to the status I posted up last week;
Houghton Photography as a whole will still be covering events. I had a long conversation with CJ about what I wanted to do and where I wanted it to go.
He has been taking photos for me, covering double bookings for the past 12 months and has done an amazing job.
He is still very keen to photograph all events, and will now be an Admin on this page. He will have all control of the direct messages in regards to Event Photography.

In the meantime, I am very interested in seeing where this change will take the both of us, and am looking for someone between the ages of 16 & 18 who has a passion for photography, to join our small team. Please tag anyone you think may be able to help out.

Bit of a long post here, and I know that this has faded away from what I always thought I wanted to do, but the time has come that I had to make a realistic view on my life.

It has been a wild ride for the past nearly 8 years. I’ve loved every single moment of this part of the last decade photographing events. All the friends I have met, all the photographers (Phil Lagettie, James Simpson ッ, Ramsey Noshie just to name a few) and DJ’s (far too many to tag) I created friendships with along the way, all the event managers, all the people who helped me out, I can’t thank you all enough.

Crazy to think that I’ve taken photo’s in so many different venues, some of which I still attend to and others I will probably never go to again.

I’ve been working fulltime for the past 6 years, and now’s the time to move on and utilise the spare time I was consistently filling with the help of all of you.

I’ll no longer be taking bookings for any events, all that have been booked for the upcoming weeks will still go ahead.

Thank you all for everything, but now is the time to take a step back and see what my next chapter brings. I can’t wait to produce more content, having close friends of mine work on projects that they will be proud to see finished.
