Future Sound is a monthly event in Frederick, MD that presents a wide variety of regional electronic music talent in a chill social environment. While we occasionally host national and international talent, we take the most pride in giving a stage to up-and-coming DJs and producers. We are all about pushing musical boundaries, breaking new talent, and substance over style. Future Sound takes place
on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Cafe Nola, 4 E Patrick St. Music starts at 9:30 pm and admission is typically $3. You *must* be 21+ with proper ID. Yo Frederick! There are TWO electronic music events this week you should know about: 1) Thursday night at Cafe 611 is Mad Dog's Dance Party (house) and 2) Friday night at Spinners Pinball Arcade is Trash Panda's 2SPOOKY4U Halloween Party at (multigenre electronic). Links to both events are in the comments.
We wish to apologize to the downtown Frederick community. On Thursday night, members of our electronic music promotional group placed glossy cardboard flyers under the windshield wipers of about 300-400 cars in residential parts of downtown, mostly in the North End. That is a promotional tactic we have employed in the past without incident. Unfortunately, there did arise an incident this time - one which we did not anticipate and deeply regret.
On Friday morning there was a howling rainstorm which soaked all of the flyers. Immediately after that, the clouds cleared and the hot sun came out. As a result, the soggy flyers ended up getting "baked" onto a lot of windshields. We understand that this has angered a lot of people, and for good reason. We have seen some of the windshields firsthand and the flyers truly left a mess.
First, we want to make it clear that the flyering was done by our group, and not by Spinners Pinball Arcade, the venue whose name and address were listed on the flyer as the location of the event. They were not even aware of our flyering activity until after the fact. They are a good organization doing good work in the community. For those who aren't aware, Spinners operates a retro arcade with 100+ pinball and arcade games, as a nonprofit benefiting kids with autism in the local area. It is a fantastic spot - truly one of Frederick's gems.
Second, we want to wholeheartedly apologize for the trouble caused by our flyering. We are truly sorry. Our goal is to bring joy to the local community through electronic music, not to upset people. We assure you that we never imagined this could have happened, and that we never would have done the flyering if we thought it was a possibility. We will not flyer any more cars going forward.
Third, we want to offer to make the situation right, whatever it may take. If you have one of these stuck to your windshield and want it removed, we will be glad to come out and carefully remove it for you. If we need to spend every evening for the next few weeks scrubbing these flyers off, then that is what we'll do. To take us up on this, please send a PM and we'll schedule a time to come out and take care of it.
Again, we are very deeply sorry for the trouble caused, and we hope that you can help spread the word that it was done by our third party group, not by the folks at Spinners Pinball Arcade.

Synapsis gettin' it at tonight's special joint Cafe 611 edition of Future Sound
IMPORTANT: Tonight's Future Sound will be at Cafe 611. We are merging our event into an existing bass music event taking place there tonight (see link in comments). Instead of having two competing events in the same town, we're joining forces with them to make one single badass party. Their lineup of bass DJs will be in the front room, and our lineup of house / tech-house / techno / breakbeat / etc. DJs will be taking over the back room. We are bringing in a stellar sound system and additional lighting. It's going to be a pretty special night. Admission is still $15, and this one is for ages 18+.
We'll have some other changes to announce in the near future, but for now we're focused on tonight's extra special event. This one is going to be a rager. Come out and play :-)
There are a lot of other EDM events happening lately in Frederick, and we're excited about that because it means the local scene is growing. Therapy is a new weekly that kicks off at Cafe 611 tomorrow night. HiScore is the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at Spinners, with DJs and gaming. Last but not least, MAH Presents: is bringing a big party called "A New Beginning" to Cafe 611 on September 11. Check out these other events, show 'em some love, and help build the local scene. ☮️❤️🤖

TONIGHT at Spinners Pinball from 8pm-12am. We are back. Not only that, but we're also now in a bigger room with a proper dance floor and a killer sound system. Come out tonight and get down *in person* with *actual other people* and loads of bass. All ages, $15 admission includes free play on all arcade, pinball, and console games. See you there!
