Join us at Gozo Picnic as we explore mesmerizing parts of the island 📍 Salt Pans

Have you heard a “Legend of the Salt Queen”…?
📜… centuries ago, mythical Salt Queen had blessed the Salt pans. It’s said her tears, born from a love lost to the sea, gave birth to the first salt crystals. To this day, some believe her spirit watches over the Salt pans, guarding the purity of the salt.
✨Each year, as the warm Mediterranean sun begins its summer dance, the ancient ritual of salt harvesting begins. The sea water, guided into the shallow pans, leaves behind crystals of pure white salt, a process as natural as it is magical.

From jet-setting skies to the heart of Gozo ✈️🏝️

Hi everyone! For those who don’t know me, I’m Ana, the face behind Gozo Picnic.
Before I found my paradise here in Gozo, I had the adventure of a lifetime as an executive flight attendant, jetting across the globe for over 7 years.

Here’s the most common question answered- top 5 locations that have left an indelible mark on my heart:

1. Gozo, Malta. My journey brought me to many incredible places, but Gozo stole my heart. It’s why I now call this enchanting island my home. 🏝️

2. Melbourne, Australia. The vibrant energy of Melbourne is unforgettable. Waking up to the sound of parrots was just magical – it’s a place where nature meets city life in the most beautiful way. 🦜🌆

3. Calabria, Italy. Italy, the country of love, had me at hello. Discovering Calabria was a dream, with its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and the warmth of its people. ❤️🇮🇹

4. Kamchatka, Russia. The raw beauty of Kamchatka is something I’ll never forget. Its untouched wilderness and refreshing remoteness make it a starkly stunning contrast to anywhere else I’ve been. 🌋🌲

5. Istanbul, Turkey. My first international journey was to Istanbul, and nothing can quite compare to that first taste of exploration. The city is a mesmerizing blend of history, culture, and incredible food. 🕌🌉

These places have shaped my story, and now I’m creating new stories here in Gozo.
