Two years ago we lost our dear friend and mentor the one who started it all, Beverly. We celebrate her life and joy she brought us every day. Friends colleagues and family all miss her deeply. Today the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation joins the nation in mourning the loss of Medal of Honor recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams, America’s last living World War II recipient. Woody passed away this morning, at the age of 98, while surrounded by his family at the VA Medical Center, which bears his name. Woody exemplified a life of dedicated service, both on and off the battlefield – through his bravery above and beyond the call of duty during the historic Battle of Iwo Jima, as an advocate for his fellow veterans over more than three decades at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and finally through the establishment of the Woody Williams Foundation, which honors, recognizes and serves Gold Star Families and the legacies of their loved ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

With this great loss to the Medal of Honor community, there are now only 63 living recipients of our nation’s highest award for valor in combat. Read more about his life and legacy here: https://tinyurl.com/2p9x6hed.

A quick reminder that you can give still give through April 18th and claim a tax credit on your 2021 taxes! Please don't forget to make a difference before you file your tax return!

The Foster Care Tax Credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in your Arizona income taxes and the limits are up to $500 for singles and up to $1,000 for married couples. Also, you can still give to other tax credits like the public and private school credits and to the charitable tax credit. These credits don't offset each other and you can give and benefit under all of the tax credits!
