TAKE FIVE Social Club TAKE FIVE is for those aged 40 and over, or for any "old souls". LOL... We post a variety of fun events for the current and upcoming months.

The main focus is musical entertainment, but we also include a few other types of fun activities. TAKE FIVE is a private Facebook Group for the "Over-40" adult crowd, whether single or married, who still wants to enjoy life and have a great time. There is a lot of partying going on. Our activities and events include musical concerts, nightclubs, dance lessons, sports events, holiday festivities, s

tage plays, comedy clubs, dinner theaters and cultural events. Of course, every activity or event is not for every member. Some activities are more soulful, mellow and easy-breezy. Others are more physical, adventuresome and daring. But either way, there is something for everyone, and our members are always encouraged to invite friends to LIKE the page and JOIN the TAKE FIVE SOCIAL CLUB-MONTHLY EVENTS GROUP. There is also a lot more to be gained than just having a good time and forming meaningful friendships. You can use our social networking to promote your business, skills and talents. We offer a lot of great group activities that encourage us to meet, mingle, socialize and have fun together. It just simply feels good to be a part of positive-minded fun people. Happy birthday to late Motown great, David Ruffin.

As the lead singer of the Temptations during their "Classic Five" period, Ruffin's abundant talent and incredible voice helped the group score monstrous hits like "My Girl" and "Ain't Too Proud to Beg."

Ruffin started his Motown journey as the lead singer of The Voice Masters on Gwen Gordy's Anna Records. When that label shut down, he frequented Berry's fledgling label—performing odd jobs around Hitsville USA until his chance came.

Friendly with several members of the Temptations, he ultimately took over Al Bryant's spot after he was fired in 1964. After taking the group to new heights, he was eventually fired in 1968 after missing a show date.

After the Tempts, Ruffin recorded as a solo artist, where he scored a number of hits and even paired up with his brother, Jimmy. Ruffin eventually left Motown in 1977, but reunited with the Temptations in 1982 for the album 'Reunited.'

He continued to collaborate and perform with a variety of acts including Eddie Kendricks, Hall & Oates, Martha Reeves and more until his passing in 1991.
