Time for a little reintroduction. Hello! We are Violet & Vine, a Lincoln based wedding florist based a few miles from the centre. In 2017, Julie did the flowers for her daughterβs wedding and loved it so much that she decided to pursue her hobby as a business. She recruited Isabelle (her other daughterβs wife - V&V is very much a family affair!) and the rest is history.
We love wild and natural flower arrangements so if this is a style that you are looking for then do get in touch. All of our wedding flowers are bespoke, individually designed and arranged by Julie and Isabelle. We take on a limited number of weddings a year so we can dedicate everything to the weddings that we do.
We are also passionate about sustainability, growing many of our own flowers, picking from the hedgerows and sourcing from locally grown businesses where possible.
We are still taking bookings for 2024 and 2025 so please get in touch to book a chat about your wedding flowers.
Aisle flowers or aisle bunches, are really popular with our wedding couples and itβs no surprise why. They work so beautifully and are really versatile as can be used on every chair leading up the aisle or alternate chairs, if you want to spend less.

Scented-leaf geranium (also known as perlagonium) is our favourite house plant. We love the scent and often use the rose scented one in our arrangements as they smell wonderful, are very long lasting and are a beautiful lime green colour which lifts any flower design. Though you can take scented geranium cuttings at any time of the year, it is better to do so in early spring or late summer when thereβs plenty of light and warmth but the plant is not in full bloom. How to take a Scented-Leaf Geranium Cutting 1.Cut above a leaf node using a sharp knife. 2. Put into water until you have finished taking all the cuttings. 3. Remove the lower leaves. 4. Fill a pot with compost and insert the cuttings around the edge of the pot. 5. Water and place in a well lit spot. I usually keep it covered with a plastic bag for a few days to prevent the cuttings from losing too much moisture. Make sure the cuttings have light, warmth and water. 6. When the cuttings have formed a good root structure, new leaves will begin to grow and you will see the cutting getting bigger. 7. Pot each cutting into its own pot. Living on a farm in rural Lincoln, our style of flowers is very much inspired by the beauty and fragrance of the English countryside. Our favourites are scented flowers, particularly sweet peas, roses, cottage garden flowers and herbs, usually teamed with an abundance of foliage, often picked from the hedgerows.
