We are very excited, are you?

Gauley Bhai is a Bangalore-based four-piece band that was founded in 2017. Joe Panicker on Drums, Veecheet Dhakal on Vocals and Violin, Siddhant Chettri on Guitar, Anudwatt Dhakal on Bass Guitar, and Veecheet Dhakal on Vocals and Violin. Nepali folk, rock, blues, fusion, and modern styles like hip-hop have all influenced their music. Their songs are about the spaces they live in: personal, social, and political. Most importantly, they rise above the rest of the country's indie musicians because they had the confidence to sing in their own language rather than conforming to the standard.

When it comes to Nepali Folk Music, Ganga Bardan is remembered as his songs hold expressive values. He is not only a popular singer, but he is also a lyricist in Nepali Music Arena. His creative and authentic writing process for his songs speaks to us of a time and a way of life that’s almost gone, except in the memory of an unforgettable bygone era. His rich, soulful lyrics and subtle tone of his songs resonate so deeply within ourselves because we identify something precious in his songs. He recorded “Kaha Ma Katyo” on Radio Nepal in 1978 (2035 B.S). Later, this song was released by Ranjana Cassette in 2055 B.S. He has sung several songs such; “Kaha Ma Katyo”, “Bazarai Bharoun Dharanai”, “Chapanile Chan Chan”, “Arunai Taryo Ni Baraunai Taryo”, “Mero Mayalu Tyo”, and many more.

We are so thrilled to have Legendary Ganga Bardan Dai performing at The Ruma music festival. We welcome 🙏 to witness an unforgettable musical experience.
