June will be here before we know it... and we can't wait for another year at The The Lawn!

We'll be at this beautiful venue again on Sunday 29th June (10am - 4pm) for this year's Classic & Retro Show.

Classic, retro, sports & modified vehicles galore (aiming to break last year’s record, as always!), live music all day, swing dancing, beer tent, food stalls, shopping village & kids' entertainment.

** SHOW CANCELLATION **

Our final show of the season (Classic & Retro Show at Beale Park) has been cancelled.

Unfortunately the recent rain (with more forecast) has caused a very soft, waterlogged lakeside field, which is not in a suitable condition for vehicles.

We're very sorry for any inconvenience - all tickets have been refunded and we have sent out mailshots to ticket holders.

Here's to better weather next year!

Himley Hall, Classic & Retro 2024... what a monster of a show!

A few photos for now, with the rest being uploaded later today.

We're not going to pretend it all ran smoothly - the entry and especially the exit were a nightmare (more on that later in this post) - but it was a really great show, with more exhibiting vehicles than we have ever had, and the weather was kind to us too😊

We were let down by our traffic management company at the very last minute (as in, at the point they were meant to arrive!) and it caused all kinds of problems.

We had over twice as many on-the-day exhibitors as last year, plus a smaller team of marshals due to last minute illness.

The team at Himley Hall manage the public parking (including entry & exit) and did their very best in the circumstances - we have a plan for next year to help alleviate the congestion getting out.

We want to thank all of you for generally being so patient and good-natured about the exit delays - we know it wasn't good enough and we're sorry for how long it took to leave.

So, our plan for next year...

Himley Hall have confirmed that we can have both gates open next year, rather than just one (thank you!) and we will have traffic management (with a back up plan in place) at each gate, with traffic lights.

One gate will be for public entry/exit and one for individual exhibitors & clubs.

We will also bring club & individual exhibitors onto the field in two separate entrance lanes - one by the lake and one by the house.

The show field will be bigger - we had over 1.300 show vehicles this year, which is amazing - with fencing all the way round, and we'll make sure everyone has more space and feels that they're part of the show.

We can't wait to be back at Trentham Gardens 🤩

It's almost time for this year's Classic & Retro Show, on Sunday 15th September...

Come & join us for classic, modified & sports cars/trucks/vans/bikes galore, food, shopping, live music, lots of children's entertainment on the show field, plus all the usual Trentham Gardens activities.

And here are our gorgeous Monday winners from this year's Knebworth House Classic Motor Show - always the best way to spend the bank holiday.

I think this was my favourite ever winner of the military & 4x4 category... look at those happy faces 😍😍😍

And a special mention for our Organiser's Award winner - George was our youngest addition to the team for the weekend and his Dad & Grandad have been trading at this show for 30+ years!

We've been made aware that another event page has been created for our Classic & Retro show at Himley Hall - apparently it says the show has been cancelled!

We spend hours each day dealing with scammers on Facebook - so frustrating!!!

Just to confirm, the Classic & Retro Show at Himley Hall (Dudley) is going ahead this Sunday, 1st September 2024.

This is our only FB page (where you can find all our shows) - tickets are ONLY available via our website, or on the gate on the day. Anyone posting about tickets, asking you to message them to register, is nothing to do with Classic Motor Events.

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday for another year of classics, music, shopping, food & fun!

We're excited to be back at gorgeous Knebworth for another year of classics, food, shopping and music - come and join us on Sunday 25th or Monday 26th August (or both!).

Hundreds of classics, movie cars, kids entertainment, vintage music performances & arena competitions, all set in the grounds of this stunning stately home.

We had a little holiday after our Walsall Classic & Retro show on 14th July, so a bit late posting these!

We had such a great day at the Arboretum again this year - this is a show that just keeps getting bigger and better each year, and we're very grateful for all the local support.

We'll back next year for more classic family fun 🥰🥰🥰

The Lawn Classic & Retro 2024, you were awesome as always!

Despite a few issues with entry/exit (1,120 cars on single track entry drives, anyone??) we had an absolute blast at this year's Classic & Retro Show at The Lawn.

The lovely team at The Lawn are already thinking about a different entry plan for our show next year, so we'll keep you posted! Thank you all for your patience and good humour in the queues - we really appreciate it.

The show has got bigger & bigger - we'll be a bit stricter on entry criteria next year, but we love the variety and range of vehicles that support the show, so we'll work out the right balance.

More importantly, the photos are ready and being loaded onto the website this weekend - sneak peak here for now, and a few of our favourites from the day.
