Dear friends.
Sometimes our compass points us in a different direction.
Mine points south. To the land of blue bonnets, Blue Bell and Beth Moore ... our Texas trifecta. I have a village in the Lone Star State. And a village is what my family needs right now. College Grove Florist is closing permanently ... but then again, nothing in life is really permanent, is it? Save the love of Christ. Thank you a million times over for supporting my business the last few years. I'm going to take my flower and garden knowledge to my hometown to lead in beautification efforts for my county. More on that later. For now, thank you. God bless Tennessee and Texas.

My middle son named this bee King James last summer. He visited us every day to feast on our lavender (the greatest smell on this Earth). I can't wait to host the King again this year. 🐝 Your will have plenty to offer any hungry pollinator this season because I'm planing a proper flower garden. I've talked about it for years and I'm finally doing it. (I have to, I already bought the bulbs and roots.😁 ) I'll grow dahlias, cosmos, ranunculus, peony (my absolute favorite), freesia, cosmos, carnations, delphinium and a whole lotta other beauties. Oh, and I got my hands on Texas Bluebonnets, too. Let's just say, it's time for me to buy a tiller, more straw hats and extra garden boots. We'll showcase our locally grown florals when they're ready.

Coming in hot a few days late to the Valentine’s party. Flowers might be the way to a girl’s heart for Valentine’s Day, but the way to a florist’s heart is support, affirmation and ignoring the three-day-old rose stems hanging out in the front room … because she needs you to not say anything until February 16 (or 17th if you reeeallly love her). My man has done all of that—and way more—the past six months. Here’s to the brave souls who pair themselves with the dreamers, the schemers, the floral streamers. You’re the real heroes of this love holiday because you allow us to do what we do.
